RA900 - The Original Deviant

Ellie: Introduction

This story is set in the same universe as Detroit Become Human and takes place in January 2039. The characters from the game will appear in this, so I hope you don't mind.

The world is like a canvas. In the beginning, it was blank, waiting for colour to be guided onto it. As time goes on, the paint dries, flakes away and is painted over. People hold brushes their whole lives and have the option to paint. People like Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth I, Archimedes, Voltaire, Nietzsche, Lao Tzu, Sun Tzu, Socrates and Martin Luther King Jr chose to paint with an array of colours. People like me, Elizabeth Kamski, prefer to stand back and watch the art being made. I'm a wallflower and I very much like it. Well, I have liked being one. Then I befriended the queen bee herself, Victoria Ellis. It was a usual day wake up, skip breakfast as it's pointless, get dressed in my usual outfit (grey tank top, dark blue flowy floral print cardigan, black jeans, black converse and my ring my older brother gave to me), put my everyday makeup on, get my school stuff in my bag and go. I got to school on time and headed to the bathroom to check myself as I hadn't been able to because I was rushing to get to school. Once inside the toilets, I could hear someone on the phone, the voice was familiar but I couldn't put my finger on who was speaking. They ended the call and as I was putting my hair in a half up half down ponytail, as that's all I'm really able to do with my shoulder length dark brown hair, she stepped out of the cubicle. Victoria was a genuinely nice girl, she donated a lot to charity and helped raise money for those in need, but she could easily give you a black eye. The ravenette smiled brightly at me and strutted over to my side.

"Hey, you're Elizabeth, right? Elizabeth Kamski?" She asked me.

"Yeah, Victoria Ellis, right?" I replied as she nodded.

"Yep, that's me." Victoria struck a funny pose that made her look like Tamaki from 'Ouran Highschool Host Club'. It's a pretty old anime from about 33 years ago, but my big brother and I watched it a while back.

"So," I began "May I ask why the queen bee of the school is talking to a wallflower?" I asked the brown eyed girl.

"Well, I've seen you walking around quite a lot lately on your own, just wanted to check in and make sure everything is alright with you." She said, looking at me.

"Me? I'm fine, yeah. I'm okay, don't worry about me." I smiled, I wasn't telling the full truth, but nobody is ever 100% happy anyways.

"Are you sure? You seem pretty tired and out of it lately." Victoria pushed as I sighed.

"it's school and something else. School's stressing me the fuck out and two nights ago I found out I have a half-brother who has been kept from seeing me fro all my life. My older brother Elijah tried to let us meet but our parents were having none of it." I sighed as Victoria wrapped her arms around me and hugged me. I grabbed fistfuls of her denim jacket and screwed my eyes shut.

"It's okay, you're gonna meet your half-brother and if you want I can help you with anything in school?" Victoria said as I looked up at her.

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother." I panicked.

"Hey, it's okay." She smiled as the bell rang for homeroom. We separated and instantly I missed the feeling of being held. I grabbed my bag and stuffed my brush into it.

"Shall we?" Victoria asked, doing a fake hat tip.

"Of course Lady Victoria."

"Please, call me Vicky."

"Okay Vicky, call me Ellie." She smiled as we headed out to our homeroom. She sat to the left near the door at the front while I sat three seats to the right in the middle of the front row. We parted and took out assigned seats as out teacher, Mr Halliday, a ZG 300 android began his usual announcements, but there was one that caught my attention. Homecoming.
