My Guy Adrien x Marinette

Part 14

Adrien's PoV

        "Are you sure you are? Because now she is open to be with you and you should give her a chance." Nino said worried. "Yeah. I am over her." I lied. I think he could see that I was lying. "I know you are scared and you don't want to get hurt by her. But she is wanting to be with you. At least give her a chance to explain herself. Please Adrien. She is really sad about it and feels terrible and the only thing she wishes, is to explain to you what you saw, was not true." Nino said putting his hand on my shoulder as I avoided eye contact. "I don't know. I guess i can let her explain but yeah, i just don't want to hurt anymore." I said looking down. "Well, she feels bad and she really wants to talk to you." Nino said. "One more question" He added. "Why Lila? I have warned you about what she can do." Nino said raising an eyebrow at me while crossing his arms. I roll my eyes. "I'm serious dude. Before when i said she was bad news, i mean it. She is bad news and she will tell you a lie in a heartbeat." Nino said looking annoyed. "I know, you have warned before but she is actually pretty nice." I said smiling. I looked around for her and saw her with her friends. "Well the "nice" you see in her may just be a big lie." Nino said frowning. I shrugged. He then sighed. "Then at least give Marinette a chance to explain. Then maybe you will change you're mind about Lila, because Marinette would not lie to you." Nino said walking into class because the bell rang. I sigh and walk in after him. I sit down and see the board and we are going to be doing a partner Hook-up. What the fuck??? I read it again. Nevermind. Partner Check-up. I sigh in relief and lay my head on my desk. I hear foot steps by me and look up to see Alya and Marinette passing me to their seats. I raise my head and quickly look behind me to look at them. Marinette had her head down and Alya noticed me and shrugged. I want Marinette to not feel so bad but i just wish that she never hurt me in the first place. I got out my phone and decided to text Marinette, telling her i am open to hear her "'Exclamation'".

Me: Fine. You can "explain" to me what happened yesterday.

The teacher walks in and i put my phone away to focus.

Marinette's PoV

       Alya and i walk into class. I see Nino and Adrien sitting down and i frown. We pass them to our seats and sit down. I sigh as i slowly rest my head on my arms. I don't like feeling this way. I then looked up at the board and see that today we are going to be doing Partner Check-ups. I hear my phone buzz as the teacher walks in. I pull my phone out and to my surprise i see it's from Adrien. I don't know what he said but now i am very curious. "Miss Dupain-Cheng. Can you please put you're phone away? This is class time now and if this keeps occuring, I will have to take it from you." The teacher said smiling. "Yes, I'm sorry." I said nervously putting my phone in my pocket. I frown. I want to know what he texted me. Maybe it was about me explaining what happened yesterday? I don't know. Maybe it was just him confessing his love to me all over again?? No. It would not be that. Especially since he is with Lila at the moment, no guy would ever be with someone and then confess to someone else. Okay, some guys may do that. But i don't know what it is. For our class agenda, we have to choose a partner to check up on them and see how they are doing. I turn to Alya and try to smile. "So Alya how have you been?" I ask her. "No Marinette, we are not asking the person next to us, i have you guys all assigned to someone." The teacher said smiling at me. "Okay" I said. Hopefully Chloe isn't my partner. She read out the names and Alya and Nino are partners. "Marinette and Adrien." The teacher called out. Oh god. Hopefully this is not going to be awkward. Adrien turned around to face me so we didn't have to move. He looked up at me and frowned a little. I decided to start. "So. Adrien, How are you doing? How have you been?" I asked wincing. "I'm doing okay. Well i got kind of blown off by the girl i really like so i am trying to be with someone else so i can stop thinking about that other girl but it isn't working. So ya. I'm just okay." Adrien said upset while crossing his arms. I stared at him shocked. "But how are you doing. Marinette?" He asked me. I frowned at his facial expression. "I'm okay also. I got a text from this guy and he asked me if I ever wanted to hang out some time and i was unsure what to say because i liked this other guy, and well i was really stupid and didn't know what to do and said "sure i'll tell you when I'm free." and then i got a text from him during this class saying "I'm going to be waiting outside you're classroom." Which i wasn't wanting to see him and i couldn't text him that i don't really like him in that way because i can't have my phone out and and then when we were leaving class, the guy i like saw the other guy waiting, and left and all i wanted to do was explain to him that i wasn't with that other guy. So ya. I'm just doing okay too." I said putting my head down.
