I pulled my ticket out of my pocket once again. I was off to live on my own after being almost booted out the door.  My father pushed me with only one word of advice.

"Don't come back with any less than half the family fortune" . . . now I wait for the doors to open. The doors of opportunity, of success, of this really slow train!

The beep finally came telling of the arrival to my destination.

''Almost there" I pull my bag up off of the dirty train floor. The train station was more packed than I thought it would be.

Luckily before leaving he gave me the adress to a set of apartments a friend of his owns.

I walked out into my new home city with what felt like the world on my shoulders .

I dusted back my red-brown hair and pad down my pants making sure to leave my jacket open.

Little did I know that this, my favorite jacket, would end up getting me into more trouble than I would ever want.
