The shocking truth

As Victor wraps his left arm around Emily's right arm, all the audience were all clapping happily for their marriage.

They walked out the churched together and Victor felt a presence. He looked around him, and he saw a white cloth shining behind the wall of the church.

"Wait here Emily. I'm going to check something."

Pleaded Victor, Emily nodded and waited in her position.Victor was very curious. He slowly walk into it and turned left to see if someone is watching them.

"VICTORIA?!" Victor shouted. Emily could not barely hear his voice but she heard a little.

"Well, hello there Victor. I see you're.. Dead. May you rest in peace with her." Victoria shyly said.

"I see you were married to Lord Barkis." Victor calmly replied.

"No Victor, I'm married to someone else. The one I truly love." Victoria said while smiling."

Victor was shocked from what he heard from Victoria, this made him very curious.

"What exactly happened, Victoria? To whom are you married to?" Victor asked curiously.

"Victor? Victor, hurry up please." Shouted Emily.

"I'm sorry Victoria, I'm going to the underworld now. We may not meet again." Victor cried. His heart is breaking as if he betrayed his friend, like a numb person

"Oh, well then Victor, Goodbye." Victoria replied.

As Victor goes back to Emily, her face seem guilty and she was about to cry. When Victor noticed this, he began worrying and asked her. "What's wrong Emily? Aren't you Happy that we're married?" Victor asked curiously.

"I'm such a terrible person... I mean, a corpse. I took out your happiness with her just have my happiness back." Emily shed into tears.

"No, Emily, My happiness was too late. Victoria is married! She was married to someone else she really love. So I have no chance but to marry you. I'm not good at getting along with women anyway." Victor reasoned.

"Then why did you marry me?! You don't love me, right? You said you would never marry me, then why do I have this ring now? Why are you doing this to me Victor? You can't marry someone you don't love!" Emily cried and shouted. She was really mad at Victor, and tries to look away from him.

"Emily I......." When Victor was about to say his words Emily stopped him.

"You what? Wasted your life because of me? Yes you did. I told you not to drink the poison, but you did!" Emily angrily shouted.

"No. I love you, Emily. I chose to marry you not only I was too late to marry Victoria, but you replaced my broken heart." Victor calmly said.

Emily was shocked and looked at Victor's eyes, she realized that he was serious and her eyes became bigger.

Before she knew it, Victor kissed her in her lips. This made her blush, and he pushed Victor away from her.

"You really don't mean this Victor, aren't you?" Emily said.

"I mean it. I love you, Emily." Victor replied.

Victor started holding Emily's hands and looked at her eyes. Emily did the same thing, but something broke this moment.

"Victor, you're very warm. I can feel it." Emily said. She looked at his hands and curiously, checked if there were a pulse. She was again, shocked from what is happening to Victor. She saw him glowing.

"Victor, you're glowing." Emily said.

"You too, Emily. What is happening?" Victor asked.

They saw Elder Gutknecht watching them.

"Ah. What a beautiful sight." Said the Elder.

They both asked what was happening to them, but he did not reply.

"See for yourself." Said the Elder again.

They looked at each other, and they were both shocked.

"Victor, You're pale again! Good heavens what is happening?" Emily said.

"You are too! Your hair is turning... Brown." Victor replied.

"That was love's true power. It's so powerful, it can even turn the dead back to the living if they did not fulfill their vows, of they have done something against their vows. Victor, you haven't found peace yet. You married Emily, but you are dead. You can only die if you have found peace with your soul. Emily, there was a very strong corruption in your death. Before you died, you have set your wedding vows in a tree, yet you did not fulfill them. When you die, your soul must be released from your body, but it did not. You were called as the 'Living Corpse' like me, and everybody else in the underworld. You have not yet found peace."

The Elder spoke to the two.

They both realized now what will be their vows. They had promise to fulfill it until they die.

Then Victor had a plan to make Emily meet his parents. He decided to go with Emily in the Everglot's mansion to meet them there. But are they still inside the mansion?
