The morning passed quickly as Jia looked at her phone and the time indicated on the screen was 2:00 PM.

She grabbed her bag and raced towards the door when a voice stopped her.

"Where do you think you're going without giving me a good bye kiss?"

She looked behind to see her mom with open arms. She smiled, "Sorry mom, I'm gonna be late for my first day" Giving her mom a peck in the cheeks, she waved good bye before leaving the house.

She took out her keys from her pocket and opened the driver's seat of her baby Alto. It's not the best car KIA can give but this baby is the best gift her parents gave her when she turned 18 and now her car is finally toned up for the every rides she's gonna take to her classes.

It was a fifty minutes drive to the university and five more minutes to walk to the building. When she got there Sam was already there, waiting for her.

"Five more minutes and we're gonna be late at our official first day in college and I don't want to ruin it thanks to you" she said, smirking.

Jia slapped her arm, jokingly. "Good morning to you too"

"So what is it with you and late mornings?" Sam asked as they walked their way to their first class.

"I have someone to blame that for" she said, slipping an unexpected answer. "That's not what I was gonna say" she said with denial.

Her friend laughed as her face was filled with denial. "Imagine if he was here right now," Jia looked at her sternly, making her laugh at her sudden reaction, "I think it's sweet".

Jia placed her hands on both ears, pretending to not hear what her friend has to say and walked away, leaving her friend behind.

She took quick steps towards her class and when she reach for the door knob, another hand reached out at the same time, shocking both of them.

She looked at his face and when she did, her eyes open wide with shock.

"Jacee?" she blinked.

The tall guy looked at her with shock as well, releasing his hand from hers. He shyly brushed his hair without saying anything.

The silence stayed long. No one dared to say a word. The sudden memories of that night quickly entered Jia's mind and now she's forced to think if it was all faith and how this sudden appearance of the boy who meant everything to him was just plain coincidence or another nightmare that will haunt her for days like the last time.

"Good! You didn't leave me behind" Sam said as she walked behind her, interrupting her from the horrible thoughts. She suddenly gasped when she saw Jacee.

What a coincidence.

"Jacee," she said, catching the guy's attention, "I thought you were in Boston?"

Jacee folded his arms. "And I thought you were going to Yale," he said, raising his eyebrow. "Hello to you to"

Jia took a breath of annoyance, clearly irritated by his presence.

"What the heck are you doing here?" Sam asked, quickly noticing the atmosphere.

Jacee held out his university ID. "I'm a freshmen here and I'm actually late and so are you. See ya!" He grabbed the knob and was out of their sight.

Jia eyed Sam with suspension but Sam shrugged her off and quickly entered the room, leaving her alone in the verge of tears.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

He was her best friend and he meant the world to her. He was the one who stopped her from crying when her dad died and he was the reason why she accepted her mom's boyfriend when her mom introduced him to her two years ago. He was the reason why she was never scared to sleep at night because he always snuck in her bedroom by the window and tucked her to bed.

She loved him so much and he also did. But it was too late because he moved to Boston.

Jia shook the thoughts of him out of her head as she unconsciously dropped her pen, earning her a 'shush' from the librarian and Sam noticed her behavior. Putting down her copy of twilight, she patted the back of her friend. She gave Jia a nudge by the side and this caught her attention. Jia gave a glance at her annoyingly thoughtful friend.

"Aren't you gonna talk about it?" she said, keeping her voice down.

Jia shook her head but Sam insisted. "Come on, I know you have that huge lump on your heart that needs to be heard"

Jia took a deep breath. "I want to kill myself. The last time we were together we almost had sex and now he's back I'm scared that I might ruin everything"

Her grip became firm as she spoke and Sam held her hand. "It's gonna be okay. Maybe he moved on and so should you. There's no point in having those feelings when you're just gonna get hurt. You know that,"

"I know," Jia said.

She rested her back on the chair, closing her eyes for a while. She took a few deep breaths before opening her eyes once again. Her eyes gazed at one direction as she opened them.

There on the far end of the library was Jacee, looking at her with a faded smile. The gaze lasted for about a few seconds when Jia stood up and walked away, leaving Sam clueless. Jacee stood up as well and ran towards Jia as she walks out of the room and into the silent hall of the university. Jacee reached for her shoulder and pushed her towards a corner and placed his mouth on hers.

As he did, Jia reacted violently and he tried to hold her in place by biting her lower lip and he heard the faint moan. Her body slowly stopped moving and he found the opportunity to place his hands on her waist and carry her, placing her legs on the sides of his torso.

Her hand snaked towards his hair as his tongue entered her mouth while a moan escaped the back of her throat. The kiss was torrid at first but became slow, more sensual as they started gasping for air.

She knew that no matter how far she would run, he would always make her find her even if it was coincidental. He's bad for her as much as she is bad for him.

There's no turning back now, the thought occurred on his head as a moan escaped his mouth.
