CAL: It's been six weeks, Luke. :/

LUKE: I know, Cal. 

CAL: You said you'd be home by now. :(

LUKE: I know, babe, but management wants me to tour for a little longer.

CAL: You promised though.

LUKE: I know, but there's nothing I can do. I'm sorry babe.

CAL: It's fine. It's just so hard because you're still in Australia but not close enough. You need to come back to Sydney soon. :(

LUKE: I will.

CAL: How was your day?

LUKE: Tiring. Haven't seen your face in so long. How was yours?

CAL: Long. School sucks without you. 

LUKE: Just a few more months and you'll be outta there.

CAL: And how long until I'm with you?

LUKE: I really don't know. Believe me, I want to come home, but I can't. 

CAL: Can't or won't?

LUKE: Can't. You know I can't. 

CAL: I know. I miss you.

LUKE: I miss you too.

CAL: Have you seen One Direction's Steal My Girl video? 

LUKE: Yeah, it's pretty good. Although Harry could use a haircut.

CAL: Aha yeah. AND THAT LEOPARD PRINT COAT HAHAHAHAH.

LUKE: And Zayn really shouldn't wear a headband tbh. His hair looks sexy down.

CAL: MEAN GIRLS REFERENCE.

LUKE: You're so fangirl right now ahahahaha.

CAL: It helps me forget your a billion miles away ahaha.

LUKE: *you're And Perth is most definitely not that far away.

CAL: Screw you.

LUKE: You can when I get back.

CAL: Which will be?

LUKE: I don't know. I'll let you know.

CAL: I wish I had money to fly out and see you.

LUKE: Get a job.

CAL: I don't have time for that. Soccer and all.

LUKE: Oh yeah. Let me know how the game goes on Saturday.

CAL: Yes, yes, okay. I need to get some rest or I won't be able to wake up in time for school. Goodnight, love you xxx.

LUKE: Sweet dreams, babe. Love you ❤.

        Maaate,

        Basically, this is the first time I'm writing Cake (although I have fantasized about it many times before). At the beginning of each 'text message' there will be the title of the song on the side and who it is by (warning that majority of the songs are sad to go along with the story). Also, every 'text message' has a gif or picture of Cake on the side.

        I am the type of person who texts perfectly. (Well, not perfectly because, you know, I do make some mistakes that even autocorrect can't fix.) I add full stops at the end of my sentences, capitalise any necessary letters, (although in fangirl mode it's generally in all caps, with the occassional alteration of uppercase and lowercase). Correct punctuation, spelling, etc. So that is how I have written this first chapter.
