Kyrhee's POV
Once I dropped Audri off at home, I started heading to my mom's house.
I entered the house in which I used to live. Memories flooded back to my mind. I shook my head and went to my mom's room.
"Hello." I said. As I entered the dark room. It was daytime but all the lights were off and the blinds tightly shut together.
This room hid so many secrets of my life that I could never be able to avoid.
The screams.
The cries.
The fear.
And most of all the demons it had inside of it.
"Hey sweetie." A shaky voice replied from the darkest part of the room.
My mother.
"Oh mom there you are." I flipped on the light switch and opened the blinds.
The creature that stood in front of me was the one I called my mother. The "woman" who gave birth to me. Her once bright, smooth, colored face was now drained with nothing but sadness in her eyes. The smile she carried was not of her own. Her once long beautiful hair now matted and disheveled. If someone from her past was to come to her they would not recognize her.
"N- n- now baby y-you said you'd h-h-help me get better. I -I -I want to, believe me baby. I never wanted this I-I-I I wanna live to see my grand babies." She said grabbing my clothes her sour breath filling my nostrils.
"I know what I said mom and I will help you I uh I'm sending you to rehab you will stay there for six months or more, but mom this is your last chance. " I said sighing.
"Oh thank you baby you won't regret this. I'm so glad you are grateful to have me unlike your unruly sister. Lay-lay." She said calling her by her nickname.
My sister Latoya. Left long ago. Today she is a happily married woman and a mother of three..two girls and one on the way. She is also a successful Doctor. Only someone who really knew her would know of her past.
" Okay mom where's your suitcase." I asked while looking around the empty room.
"I don't have one.... I don't have anything." She said looking at me with eyes that used to be filled with joy but now only filled with regret and sorrow, but if you looked closely she still had a little spark left in them.
"Alright let's go."
Once we got to the place I helped my mom out of the car.
When we got inside I signed her in.
"Mrs.Walkison." The doctor called. " we are ready for you." She said as she smiled warmly.
"This is it baby." My mom smiled "A new beginning. I love you." That was the last thing she said before she slipped behind the door.
