Sweet Pomegranate

Chapter 4

Hanji arrived and watched Eren and Levi from a far. They were sitting on a couch. Levi held a pomegranate in his left hand and Eren's hand in his right.

"Eren, Mon amour, I am so worried that you will die if you do not eat. Look at this sweet fruit, just take a taste for me please." Looking deep into his eyes, the young man carefully reached out his hand and took the luscious fruit to his lips.

"For you, Levi." Deliberately, he swallowed a few seeds, just six.

"Oh no!" Hanji thought, "I'm too late."

Eren was now committed to Levi and the underworld. If Hanji was going to fulfil her duty to Erwin she was going to use all her negotiating skills to strike a deal with Levi. Levi was notorious for being stubborn and hard to persuade, but that's what Hanji was good at.

"Yo Levi!" She began to walk towards Levi. Levi knew why Hanji was here, and he knew he would have to part with Eren. But he had eaten of his own free will, Levi hoped he would have to return to him.

"He has eaten six seeds." Levi states proudly. "However I would be willing to let Eren go to his mother for six months each year and for the following six months he will return to rule with me as my Queen."

"You really let me do that?" Eren's face showed overwhelming excitement. Levi smiled at Eren and caressed his cheek.

"Of course, Mon amour." Eren hugged Levi, shocking the man slightly. He looked to Hanji and she got the message and slipped out of the room, to inform Erwin and Carla.

Levi knelt in front of Eren, as he sat on the couch still. "Eren, Mon amour, I ask you now will you become my Queen and rule the underworld with me, and marry me?" Eren chuckled. "Of course, my King." Levi smiles at Eren and reached into his pocket and brought out a small box. He opened it and brought out a sliver, blue and red ring. He slipped it on Eren's ring finger and kissed it.

Eren raised his hand and admired the ring. "It's beautiful."

"Just like you then." Eren blushed a little and giggled. Levi sat back next to him and took Eren's hands in his own, and looked into the other's eyes.

"I love you Eren."

"I love you too Levi."

Levi smiled and brought his hand up to Eren's cheek. Levi edged closer bringing them closer together, until their lips touched. It was a sweet and slow kiss. Levi pulled away.

"My Queen."

"My King."
