Gracie POV
There he was. Sitting in all his bloody and beat up glory, my mate. Well technically not my mate since he rejected me and was a total douche about it, but he still doesn't to die. Not like this anyways. I was blown out of my thoughts by Ryder groaning. "Ah shit sorry. C'mon Ryder. We need to get a move on," I whisper. "Need to get out of room. Too weak," Ryder barely whispers. Damn it he's going to be too heavy for me. Ric and Carter along with Daniel rush in. "Ryder you idiot. Maybe try asking for back up before you get into these messes," Carter says. "Not now Carter," Ryder growls out. Carter raises his hands in defense and they begin to help me lift/drag Ryder out. What? He's a big guy.

As we reach the door, Ryder begins to gain his strength back. Soon enough he's walking, more like sprinting, down the halls ripping any rouge he see's to shreds. I'm guessing he's pretty pissed that they kept him there. We've all shifted by the time we bust out the front door. Literally. The front door. I tell Cher to go back to hiding and she scurries off. Me and Ryder howl, putting in the sorrows we experienced and the rage that is to come if this doesn't stop. They all stop. Rouges were all over the ground along with some of our pack members. "Today this ends. No more of my pack or Ryder's will die tonight," I say. I scan the area and I can't seem to find Melinda, but I do see Selena bawling in the mouth of one of my warriors. "Your Luna has fled. Left you to die on your own. I will leave this area along with our packs if you never show your faces around us again. If you do, there will be hell to pay and I will personally give you a slow and painful death," I finish off. "It's time we go home with peace on our minds that we have avenged my mother and father and have taken back Ryder," I say. We start heading towards the river to clean our fur and then back to the houses. With me and Ryder leading and Carter, Daniel, Ric, and Jam not far behind us, we return to our homes and loved ones. Me and Ryder stay outside to congratulate and mourn for those deceased ones. They're buried and I give the blessing if it's from my pack. At the end of it all, it's just me an Ryder sitting under the rising moon. "Now that that's over...how about a new beginning for us?" Ryder says. I look at Ryder. He's hurt me yes. More times than I like, but he's my mate. My other half. "Ryder it's hard to believe you've changed because of all the shitty ways you've treated me, but in ready to start over. Not to forget what's happened but know it and accept that it's happened and move on," I say. I move towards him and come under his about. I rub against him as he growls in approval.
I think we should finally let him in. It's about time someone has healed our jacked up heart, Sam says.
I agree with her. It's time. "I, Gracie Isabella Monique Clearwater, accept Ryder as her mate." As I finish saying that, Ryder jumps up and down in glee and tackles me to the ground. He licks my face and snuggles up to me. "Thank you Gracie. You've made this day a memorable one," Ryder says. We begin to head in to the start of our new life.
