you told me i was like
the Polaroids of places you went
which you hid under your clothes
the empty beer bottles
you loved to decorate
the fairy lights you put in your room
for they looked like stars to you
the scent of ancient manuscripts
you bought at the auction we met
the late night food experiments you did
just to order a take away
the flowers you planted every summer
so they could keep you company in the rains
you said i was like all of those things
that meant so much to you
so what made you give up
all of these, all of me, for nothing?
