What If?

Chapter 9

The boys are all staring at me with shocked looks on their faces none of them saying a word. I immediately start to worry and jump out of my bed.

"What's going on?" my voice cracking with worry.

Silence fills the room for a few seconds until they burst out hooting and hollering.

I look over at them with a look of confusion. I mean I'm used to the yelling and energy coming from these boys but this was different. They were way more peppy than usual.

"Somebody want to tell me what's going on?" I cross my arms and tap my foot waiting for an answer.

"WEREGOINGTOAMERICA" They're all screaming at me at once I can hardly understand a word they're saying. I put my hand up to shut them up and they're all suddenly quiet.

"Please one at a time you guys sound like children in a candy store" I roll my eyes waiting for a clear answer. Liam steps forward taking a deep breath to calm himself while the others faces display goofy grins unable to hide their excitement.

"Well long story short our music has been spread around America and we've been asked to go there for promotion and maybe by popular demand we'll have a tour!" He says excitedly with the biggest grin I've ever seen. Once again the room is filled shrills of excitement including my own.

"Are you serious? Oh my god you guys this is huge! This is amazing. I'm so proud of you guys this is crazy" I feel my heart pounding of how happy I am for them. Their faces are priceless. I can tell they've waited for this their whole life. This is their big break. Even though I'm so happy for them I'm sad because they'll probably be gone for a while and I'll be here in cold/rainy England getting fat with my cousin as my only friend.

I feel five pairs of arms wrapped around my body knowing I'm being pulled into a huge group hug. I try my best to hide what I really feel about this. This is a huge deal for them I can't ruin it.

"We're so lucky to have a friend like you to keep us motivated. We love you, Izzy" Louis says making my heart melt. They mean so much to me. They're my family.

"Aww you guys are too sweet! I love you guys too. You're my only friends since I've moved here. I'm really going to miss you guys" I feel tears fill my eyes. No I will not make this about me. This is their special moment. I hide my tears and hug them tighter not wanting to let go.

Breaking away from the hug all five boys stand in a straight line all facing me still grinning. I can tell there's something else on their minds they'd like to tell me.

"Well you won't miss us because you'll be with us. We've already asked our managers and they said it'd be great if you tagged along. You could show us around  since you're American and we'd thought you'd like to come since it's your home. We'd love it if you did I mean what are you going to do here?" Harry calmly says with a grin played across his face.

My heart is pounding.

My mind is racing.

Go back to America?

The place I left and sworn I'd never go back to?

Go back to the place where all the pain and misery was created?

Was I ready?

The truth was no.

What if everything went wrong again?

No, I can't deal with that again.

But I don't want to disappoint the boys. They've worked so hard for this. I'd let them down if I didn't go with them. But by then my belly would probably be showing and I'd risk being spotted and everything will be a mess once again.
