"Well the guy is Marco... he's my ex. Hannah was my best friend... they both dated each other..."

All of the guys stare at me wide eyed. "I didn't think that it would be so serious..." Cameron mumbles out loud. I nod my head at them, "My time with them in eighth grade wasn't the best experience that I would have wanted, but it all happened. I couldn't do much for it, so yeah..." I explain to them. I was going to let the subject go, but Taylor lets out the question that I feared the most. "What did they exactly do to you?" I remained silent not wanting the remember everything that they did to me. Shawn gets out of his seat, "Let the subject drop guys. Let's just make lunch."

The guys all get up from their seats and start getting ingredients in order to get lunch ready. Shawn makes eye contact with me and smiles, "Are you okay?" I nod my head even though I'm still in shock over what has happened prior. We continue to prepare lunch until the bell rings. I look to see all of the guys being confused towards who can be ringing the bell. Cameron goes to open the door and there stands Hannah again. "What are you doing here?" I ask, now being irritated.

She rolls her eyes at me, "I just came to give you this." In her hands was a ring, but it looked a little sketchy to me. "Why would you want to give this to me?" She puts the ring in my hands, "I came here to make things right, but you seem to be stuck in the past somehow." I looked at her in anger, "You can take the ring, I don't want it anymore. Also, please leave this house and NEVER come back."

She puts the ring on the side table next to the door, "You'll regret ever saying those words to me, just wait." She turns away and walks out and down the street. I close the door and look at the ring and grab it. "I'll be outside in the backyard, call me if you need anything." I walk to back door and walk out to sit in one of the chairs outside. The sky was becoming dark with the clouds overhead. I could hear the rumbling of thunder and I look at the ring once more. I get up from the chair and go to the garbage cans.

I open one of the garbage lids and throw the ring inside. I may have been a horrible person to have done that, but you could never know what that ring could have. I turn around to see Shawn waiting for me by the door. I walk to him quickly, the rain already pouring down. I get to him and his arms were wide open. I run to him and wrap my arms around him with such warmth. He pulls us inside the house with his arms still wrapped around me. "Are you feeling any better now?" He questions me.

"Yeah, it's just their presence wasn't the greatest to be around. That's all." He rolls his eyes and chuckles, "Tell me about it. When I saw your face I felt the conflict rising." I look up at him, "Is that the reason why you grabbed me before anything happened?" He nodded his head. His arms were still wrapped around me and it felt nice to be in his embrace. I look up at him and smile, "We should get back at making lunch." He quickly nods and pulls me into the kitchen.

Later in the evening

I was in my bedroom and the rest of the guys were in the living room. I then remember that our first concert together will be on the day of Halloween. I get nervous in thinking how many people are going to be there, watching.

I was broken out of my thoughts with a knock at my door. I get up from my bed and open the door. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt anything." It was Shawn at the door and I shake my head. "I wasn't doing anything. I was just lost in thoughts, that's all." He smiles gently at me. "Do you mind if I come in?" He questions. I move aside from the door and let him into my bedroom. "So this is how your bedroom looks like..." he mumbles to himself.

I close the door and turn to see Shawn looking directly at me. I blink at him a little confused, "Why do keep staring at me like that?" He moves closer to me without saying a word to me. His eyes only looking into mine, searching for something in them. Shawn now stands in front of me and I get nervous. He looks down at me and puts his arms on the door behind me, keeping me in between his arms. "Well... I just want to say that you're really pretty." I look down, flustered, "Is that the reason that you came to my room for Mendes?" My cheeks were starting to redden since he is so close to me.

He moves away from me, "No, I want to talk to you about that if you want to partner up with me for the concert." I have thought about collaborating with Shawn that way I don't get scared of being on stage by myself.

"Sure I would love to." I tell him.
