Maybe I was starting to fall in love...
•••••••••••••••••••

We arrive at the venue and we all get off the car. I was shaking because the fans will be arriving soon and people were already setting the stage up for us. We all look around the venue in awe. This was something new to us and we were all excited and nervous. I was the most nervous of them although. I went to the room I was designated to stay in for the time being. I took off the wings of my costume that way they didn't get damage in any way.

A knock alarms me in my quiet room. I sit up to see Shawn's head pop in through the door. "Oh, you're in here cause I was looking for you," he informs me. I look at him and kind of shy away from him because of the thought that I had of him early. That I may be falling in love with him.

"Hey, anyone in there. Hello?" He waves his hand in front of my face. I quickly snap out of my trace. "Sorry, I was deep in my thoughts. What could I do for ya?" I ask him. "Well... you could do a lot of things for me, but I wanted to know if you want to practice one last time before showing." I nod my head at him and we quickly start to practice our act for the show.

The video of the boys starts playing on the big screen and we hear the fans screaming. I become more nervous with the amount of time that has passed. I feel someone wrap their arms around me. "Are you ready for this?" I turn to see Cameron, "I think I am. Just a little nervous that's all." He smiles at me and spots Aaron and quickly asks him something that I didn't catch.

Soon the boys were going on stage and I would be the last one to go on. "I know you guys may have heard the rumors of a new member entering our group of crackheads. I just to say that it's all true, and you all will meet her tonight," Cameron begins to introduce me to the crowd of fans. I start to become more nervous as the minutes pass and soon I was climbing the stairs to the stage. At the end of the stairs Cameron held his hand out to me. "I present to you guys, my daughter Maria."

The crowd was silent, taking in the situation that is at hand right now. I become even more nervous as the crowd remains quiet. The boys starts to feel uneasy with the atmosphere of the room. Just then we hear someone yell, "OH MY GOD SHE'S SO PRETTY!" The crowd starts to clap and cheer, the guys now feeling more relaxed then before. I start to smile even more than before and hold onto Cameron's hand even tighter than before. He looks down at me and smiles at me. Fans had their phones out taking pictures of the most beautiful moment of my life.

The concert continues with fun and games with the fans that participated. Some of the guys are doing performances and we all were getting ready. On stage, Johnson and Gilinsky are singing and rapping. The next performance is Aaron and last will be Shawn and I. I feel nervous with every passing minute nearing to our performance. I feel someone wrap their arms around my waist and their chin on my shoulder. I turn to see Shawn smiling softly at me. "You'll do great out there, don't worry so much about it and have fun." I smile at him, "Fine, I'll try to relax before the performance." He smiles once again and leaves to change out of his costume.

I go to my dressing room and also change. I was wearing a light pink dress that had lace on it. Soon I was waiting for Aaron's performance to be finished and for our turn to begin. We waited below the stage since we would be lifted onto the stage. I take a look at what Shawn was wearing and I almost had a heart attack. He was wearing and while dress shirt tucked into his black jeans that defined his legs a lot.

Aaron was finished with his performance and we were up next. My nerves start to become more active and Shawn takes notice. He holds my hands tightly, mic in the other hand. The lights were off and we are on stage. The tune to the song starts to play and the lights come on. Shawn let's go of my hand before anyone saw.

I begin to sing without being nervous. "A million thoughts in my head. Should I let my heart keep listening 'cause up 'til now I've walked the line, nothing lost but something missing." I take a deep breathe and Shawn continues. "I can't decide. What's wrong, what's right, which way should I go. If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling. Is this just a dream?"

We begin to harmonize with each other, our voices finding each other on stage. The fans start cheering and we smile at them all. "Ah oh, yeah. If only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be. Ah oh, if only, if only. If only." I begin to walk away from Shawn to the other side of the stage, "Every step, every word with every hour I am falling in.To something new, something brave, to someone I, I have never been. I can't decide. What's wrong, what's right, which way should I go." Shawn turns to face me and sings sweetly, "If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling. Is this just a dream?Ah oh, yeah. If only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be. Ah oh, if only, yeah."

I begin to walk to the middle of the stage and Shawn follows my lead. "Am I crazy? Maybe we could happen, yeah. Will you still be with me when the magic's all run out?" We start harmonizing together and fans begin to cheer louder. "If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling. Is this just a dream? Ah oh, if only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be, ah oh." Shawn holds his hand out toward me and I take it. " If only, yeah. If only, yeah. If only, yeah. If only, yeah. If only, if only."

The song ends and the fans are screaming and cheering. Shawn still holds my hand and I look into his eyes.

I realize, I'm truly in love with Shawn Mendes...
