"Can I drive?"

The question took both Aisha and Yiren by surprise, even though it came out of Yiren's mouth. Aisha, who had her keys in hand as they left her apartment, gave her a look that told Yiren she was both shocked and curious.

Before Yiren could quickly retract her question, Aisha crossed her arms and tilted her head while looking at the smaller. "Why all of a sudden?"

Honestly, Yiren has wanted to for a while. Since the first time Aisha rode Yiren in it. After the initial shock and anxiety that they were going to get caught, a fleeting wonder crossed her mind before she shook it off. There was no way she was going to get caught illegally driving a car. She would be killed by her parents, and that meant no more hanging out with Aisha.

Yiren tried to hide her own surprise and gave a shrug. "I just...thought it would be cool."

She knew Aisha could see right through her, but she had to try to at least look nonchalant.

The older chuckled, shaking her head before nodding towards the sleek black car. "Come on."

Yiren broke her facade and grinned as she all but ran to the driver's side of the door, grabbing the keys from Aisha. She was gonna drive! She was actually going to drive a real car! It looked so easy, Yiren was sure she would get it in no time!

Yiren plopped herself in the driver's seat and buckled in, the smile never leaving her face. When she looked up, she frowned. Where was the road?

"Uh..." Yiren looked over at Aisha.

It took a moment of Aisha giving her a confused look before she realized Yiren's dilemma and leaned over to adjust the seat for her, laughing while Yiren pouted at her.

"Ah, you're so cute," Aisha stated.

"I'm not," Yiren whined, only for her to get another laugh.

Driving was a lot harder than Yiren anticipated. Aisha's car was faster than any normal car, so when she lightly tapped the accelerator, she jerked back in her seat and immediately slammed her chest into the steering wheel when she stomped on the brakes. The car rocked as Yiren lifted her head and turned to Aisha. The taller was hiding her face behind the curtain of her hair, shoulders shaking. Alarmed, Yiren reached out for her arm, wondering if she was crying and if her head hit the dashboard too hard.

But Aisha raised her head and she was laughing the loudest she's ever laughed before. She leaned back in her seat, eyes closed and tears in the corners of her eyes, face turning dark pink the longer she laughed. It was loud, unabashed, unrestrained.

Yiren watched her, unable to stop her own smile crossing her face. It was such an endearing sight, even cuter than whatever Yiren was doing for Aisha to call her that.

"...Ahhh that was amazing," Aisha finished, reduced to giggles as she opened her eyes and lowered her head again. She wiped her eyes and looked at the younger, who was still watching her.

"You've never driven before, huh?" She asked.

Yiren shook her head, feeling the tips of her ears heat up in embarrassment.

"How come you didn't tell me? I can teach you."

Yiren shrugged. "It looked so easy."

"I just make it look easy, Yiren-ah."

It was silent for a few seconds as Yiren fumbled with her hands in her lap and Aisha simply watched her. Aisha then sat up properly and pointed to the steering wheel.

"This is the steering wheel. This is the key hole. This is the gear—"

"I know what they are," Yiren interrupted. "I'm not stupid."

"I never said that, Yirennie. This is all a part of your lesson, so you don't forget, okay? This is the best shift, alright..."

Aisha pointed out everything in the car, from the most obvious to the least, and ignored Yiren's "I know what that is" every time she said it. Then Aisha taught her about how she's supposed to push the brake as she turned the car on, and how to shift the gears lightly. She turned the car lights on all the modes, even the lights installed under the car.

Where Aisha stayed at, there were hardly cars on the road, so it was easy to teach Yiren how to drive. Aisha broke down into fits of laughter a few more times because of Yiren's jerky driving and how many times she almost sent the both of them flying into the windshield.

"Okay, I'm done," Yiren finished, putting the car in park and unbuckling her seatbelt. She didn't want to drive anymore that day.

Grinning, Aisha undid her own belt. "Why? You almost had it!"

"I did not. I'll just leave the driving to you."

They switched spots, Aisha smiling the whole time, like the whole scene was amusing to her. Yiren continued to pout, although she wasn't upset in the slightest. Aisha smiling and laughing kept replaying over and over in her mind, and she felt the butterflies in her stomach as they started driving to meet Aisha's friends at a park.

"We can try this again another day, if you'd like," Aisha said.

Yiren took in the cool, relaxed posture Aisha had as she drove, and shook her head. She doesn't think she could ever be as great of a driver as Aisha. Even when they were a little too over the speed limit, Aisha had everything under control, turning and applying the brakes at the right time to avoid any accidents. It was like she had thirty years of driving experience instead of the three she told Yiren.

She found that fact way more attractive than she should've.

"It's okay. I'm fine with riding in the passenger seat."
