We pulled up in the parking lot and a smile spread across my face. "I can't believe we are finally here." I mumble
"Me neither, you drive for 12 hours and you end up here." Mum jokes
"Pinch me so I know I'm not dreaming."
She chuckles lightly.
We step out of her car and start to wonder around campus. We make our way to the front office after what seem like ages and mum questions the office lady for my dorm. She gives me the key and I thank her.
I open the door and peak inside. I see a boy with quiffed hair sleeping on one of the beds. The room is fairly big, there is a bunk bed with the bottom bed missing, and a day bed. The boy was sleeping on the day bed. Light snores escaped his mouth as his chest rose and fell.
"Aren't you going to let me see it." Mum tries to push through?" I tug the door close and block entrance. "My roommate is sleeping try to be quiet." I tell her. She nods. I crack the door open just enough to fit through. I turn around and she looks likes she is having a heart attack. I quickly close the door gently pushing her through as well.
"What's wrong?" I ask concern apparent in my voice
"Is that a boy?" she is asks disgusted. I make a face, then realization hits.
" Well, yea." I say nonchalant
"Is this some kind of sick joke?" she thinks aloud. I scoff.
"You are not staying in this dorm." she yells
"Please stop shouting." I beg, not wanting her to make a scene
