Ikki's POV

After the whole ordeal of having to see Sakuya and endure his annoying woos , we all left, with me blushing red after Ruki's 'pickup line' . I had no idea how and in what way it made me blush but it just did.

"Ikki, where should I put this?" I hummed, looking up from my work, washing the dishes, and met eyes with Ruki. I bit my inner cheek and ignored the growing heat on my cheeks. I nodded over the countertop with a few ceramics above them. "Just place them over there."

I turned back to my work once I heard his footsteps become louder along with the clanking of the plates on each other. "I appreciate the extra hand but you really di-" I started as I wiped my hands and turned to his direction only to freeze in place when he stood in front of me.

We both stared into each others eyes, both making no move to look away.  His blue-gray eyes clashed with my onyx ones into a stare off. I didn't even realize it but I was subconsciously leaning myself on the counter as Ruki leaned his head closer. Both faces a few centimeters away from each other. We were close - noses touched from the close proximity of our faces.

"May I ask what you are doing?" I asked as I tilted my head a bit and narrowed them at Ruki. He didn't respond and I decided to turn around and continue on with my work but when I attempted to look away, he grabbed my chin and made me face him.

"Who said you could look away?" He asked with the tone that screamed authority. I rose an eyebrow when I noticed the unsatisfied look in his eyes which confused me.

"Well sorry but I don't remember needing your permission for my actions." I hissed and he glared along with his grip on my chin tightened. On instinct, my arm went to grab his hand and glare at him.

"Don't forget who's the master of this household." I growled and his glare faltered as his grip loosened making me huff as he dropped his hand to his side.

I crossed my arms over my chest as he took a step back. "Mind explaining what that was?" I asked with a quirked eyebrow. Receiving a sigh, I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Nothing in particular." He muttered as he walked away. I stared at his retreating form in annoyance and huffed. "What was that all about?"

After finishing up my work, I grabbed a slice of cake and teleported outside the door of Yui's room. Knocking on her door before pushing in, I saw that she was on her bed. A pen and notebook levitated in front of her as her face was scrunched up, showing how concentrated she currently is.

"You're doing better." I commented and she squeaked in surprise and the pen and notebook fell on the sheets of her bed. "And we're gonna have to work on your concentration without getting surprised starting tomorrow." I muttered and Yui turned to me.

"I-Ikki-san?" I placed the plate of cake on her table and then stared at the pen and notebook on her bed. Not a moment later they both levitated above her and she stared at me in wonder. "How do you do it, Ikki-san?"

I then blinked and the stationary items slowly levitated downwards and landed on her sheets. "Concentration. All you have to do is have a clear and peaceful mind. It usually is based on ones control on emotions. And you dear, are too concerned about it levitating that you forgot to relax and with the slightest contact of things you jump."

She pouted and I chuckled as I patted her head and then handed her the plate. "Here, have a snack." She took the plate and then a bite of the cake. She suddenly squealed and placed her hands on her cheeks. "So sweet!!" I chuckled at her reaction.

"I'm glad you liked it. It's actually my first time making red velvet cheesecake." She then turned to me with eyes wide. "Ikki-san made this?! That's amazing!!" She exclaimed like a child and her reaction reminded me of my little sister.

"Finish that up them continue practicing. I'll be in my room if you need help with anything." She nodded and continued to eat making me chuckle as I left her room.

I teleported to my room and rose an eyebrow when I saw that Kou was looking around. To be specific, he was staring at the empty picture frames on my bookshelves. I rose an eyebrow as I followed his gaze and they trailed on a golden picture frame with a picture that seemed burnt.

Seeing him reach a hand out and traced the frame with his fingers, I blinked and rolled my eyes.

"What are you doing?" He flinched and turned to me as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Hey there Ki-kun!!" He said with a smile and I narrowed my eyes at him. "What are you doing here?" I asked, emphasizing the word here to get my point.

He looked everywhere but at me and I growled. "Kou." I called out with an aithoritive voice making him sigh. "Mou~ I was just looking for you, Ki-kun."

He whined at me and I clicked my tongue as I walked over my desk, passing by him. "Whatever it is, it should wait. I have more important things to do." "Eh? Like what?"

I sat on my chair and pulled out my pen and turned my chair. "Summer homework." He furrowed his eyebrows as he looked over my shoulder as I turned back to my work. "How come we don't have any homework?"

I scoffed as I pulled out a letter and waved it around his face. "Karl had mailed the school and the dean about your absence and surprisingly, the dean was fine with it as long as you do your work properly once second semester starts." "You've got to be kidding me?!"

I covered my ears by his sudden outburst and clicked my tongue. "Why are you shocked? Didn't Karl send you a message?" I asked and he staree at me in disbelief. "He took away our phones when he sent us here!!"

"Pity." I deadpanned.

He looked at me with a pout as I began to answer the math problems. "How do you even answer that without the textbook?" "Why would I need a book when I memorized the equation?" His jaw slacked at my response making me place a hand under his chin and closed his mouth.

"You're gonna catch flies with your mouth open that wide." His lips formed into a thin line as he stood there not knowing what to do while I did my paperwork in hopes of him leaving. Being completely indulged with my work I failed to notice that he laid on my bed and just stared at the ceiling.

"Ne Ki-kun." I hummed to let him know I was listening. "You're not exactly a warlock are you?" I finished the last equation before turning to him. "Do you have something in thought to have questioned me of such thing?" I asked as I blankly stared at him. He sat up and stared directly into my eyes.

I was aware about him being able to read hearts but sadly, I myself, currently, don't have one.

He seemed to have found nothing and sighed in defeat. "Nothing really. You just seem so-" "So what?" "So surreal." His words caught me off guard as I rose an eyebrow at him.  "So your simply stating that I'm odd then?" He widened his eyes before shaking his head. "No! I mean you are a bit odd but not like that! You're uh... What was that word again uni- unicorn?universe? UniQlo? Uhm..."

I just blinked at him before chuckling. "I suppose the word you are looking for is unique?" He snapped his fingers. "That's the word!" I only shook my head. "How did you reach unicorn and universe? You were quite close to UniQlo."

"Hey!"
