This couldn't be true, this planet couldn't really be taking the thing I love the most could it? I knew that I needed to save them, but how? I couldn't live without the Doctor.

The year was 2003. I sat down at the huge plastic table that was set up in one of the many rooms of the huge house my foster parents could afford with all the money they got from us. Us, there were 17 of us in total. The ages of us kids ranged from 3 to 17, I was 15.

I sat with my paper plate in front of me awaiting my food for the night. The food was horrid but I had to eat to live. Out from the kitchen came my foster mother, Beatrice, basically the meanest woman you could imagine times 10. Beatrice was holding a huge pot in her arm and a ladle in her hand.

"Ok you little nobodies, lets get to eatin'" she said as she slopped down a laddle full of some creamy white soup looking thing on one of the kids plates. She worked her way around the table until she got to me.

"No thank you." I said. I was feeling sick and really didnt want to play the "what crap is in this soup" game tonight.

"What did you say?" Beatrice said growing more agitated.

"No thank you." I repeated. With a slam Beatrice through the pot to the ground, splattering the horrible contence all over the floor.

"I slave over a hot kitchen all day to make you kids a good meal and I am met with 'no thank you'?" Beatrice screamed. As if. All of us knew that we were nothing but pay checks to her and that the only thing she did was spend 10 minuets in the kitchen throwing whatever had expired that say into a pot. I mistakenly let out a chuckle and she hears.

"Why I atta..." Beatrice says as she picks me out of my chair by my shirt collar and lifts her left hand. I feel the blood rush to my cheek as she slaps me so hard I fall to the ground. I reach up and touch my face and see the blood that it leaves on my hands. All of the other kids watch in silence, fearing that she will do the same to them.

"You can sleep outside tonight!" She shouts pointing to the door. I stumble to pick myself up. I limp to the door, having fallen on my leg funny. I step out the door and feel it slam behind me. It's raining outside. I feel the watter gather in my hair as I walk down the frount lawn. I collapse on the grass and break down in sobs.

Why did my parents have to die? Why out of all foster homes did they have to put me here? What did I do to deserve this? And that's when I heard the noise. Like machine gears grinding against eachother. And then I saw it...the blue box. I stayed put, unsure what to do. The door to the box opened and out came a man in a leather jacket he looked around before his eyes settled on me. He walked over to me and I didn't move, I didn't care if this man was about to help me or if he was about to kill me, anything was better than what I was already living.

"Why are you out in the rain?" He asked extending a hand to help me up. I didn't take his hand, nor did I speak, I just stared blankly back at him. Just then a scream could be heard from in the house, Beatrice. The man looked through the window and saw. He must've put the pieces together because he didnt ask me again. Instead he walked over, took his jacket off and put it around me before walking away.

I turned around and saw him walking down the street with a kind of urgency, in his hand was some cylender type thing much like a pen. How strange. I looked back forwards at the blue box. I got up on to my feet and started walking over to the box. I grabbed the handle and pushed, without much effort the door opened.

I walked inside and to my amazement it was...it was....bigger on the inside. I did a 360 to truely take it all in. I walked around the circular table in the middle of the room and glanced upon all of the buttons, switches, and knobs with bewilderment. I ran my fingers along the rim of the table, wondering what each thing did when I heard a noise. He was back. I quickly ran out of the box and hid behind a bush. He walked to the box and opened it up. Once he was inside he turned around and started to close the door. Right before it shut for good I jumped up.

"Wait!" I yelled. He opened the door again, staring back at me. "Take me with you." I said with a tear rolling down my cheek. "I don't know or care where you are going in that starange blue box but take my with you." I was sobbing at this point. "I have nothing here. I have noone. Noone cares about me." Turning my head to the ground I added, "Noone would miss me if I left." I continued to look down until I saw a hand reach out.

"Come on." He said with a smile on his face. I grabbed his hand and walked into the blue box once again, this time determined to never come back to this dreadful place.
