Forever Is A Promise

¶ Chapter Three ¶

My mind racing a thousand miles a minute.

Gawking at the man in front of me I felt my chest get heavy.

My knees went week.

I felt faint.

"Babe, I'm sorry. I didn't know you would take it so seriously" him talking brought me out of my trance, finally finding myself I slammed the door breathing heavy I locked it then ran for my phone.

Hearing banging I start to cry remembering how it was when he would hit me or degrade me. "Red! Let me in!" He growls through the door.

Dialing 911 I press it to my ear, panting from a close panic attack. "911 what's yo-" "my ex is here at my apartment, I pressed a restraining order on him. He's not supposed to be here." I hear russling then a couple of people talking "ma'am please calm down, what's your address?" She asks trying to sooth me.

I tell her where I live causing her to tell me an officer will be there in about ten minutes, she tells me to go to a room with a lock on the door so I run to my bathroom and lock it.

Heaving I sit on the floor criss-cross style and keep her on the line but put her on speaker so my breathing isn't in her ear.

I decide to text harry and tell him what's happening.

Me- harry Alex is here, he tried coming in but I locked him out before he could. I called the police and am on the phone with this woman, I'm waiting for the officer to come.

I don't even have to wait a minute before I hear a ding and read the message.

Hazzlenut- ok, ill be there tomorrow. We'll have to find another place for you to stay down you know if Hayley will let you?

I respond saying "I don't know".

I text hayley asking if I can stay with her.

Me- hay hay can I stay with you? I'll help pay rent and ill clean your house like a maid!!

Chicken- hold up. What's wrong and we both know you wont clean for shit.

Laughing I text her back still on the lone with the woman.

Me- shut up. Alex is here and I think the officer is talking to him outside rn...harry doesnt have another apartment I can stay at so I need to stay with you until I can afford one.

Chicken- yeah of course we'll meet tomorrow so we can pack your mess and load it into my car.

The woman on the line asks if im ok which I say yes to, she tells me the officier is outside so I unlock the door and unlock my door to see alex is gone but a male officier is standing outside speaking into the radio on his shoulder.

"Officer, I'm ruhbein loust, i called because my ex came here and i put an restraining order on him" I say to him making his head shoot up at me smiling. "Yes ma'am, I was about to knock on your door" he says then walks closer to me.

They took him into custody and is going to jail for breaking the law.

Its the next day. I didn't get much sleep last night worrying about my situation. Hayley is over right now helping me pack. We blasted some of her music and laughed.

"Thank you so much sis...I really appreciate it" I say bear hugging her which I receive one back. "Of course, your my little sister...and I'm beating his ass next tine i see him" she nods firmly making me chuckle then pat her shoulder.

Walking into her apartment i place my things into my new room.

About thirty minutes later I receive a call from harry wanting to know when to meet.

"We can have lunch or something tomorrow. Today I'm just moving into Hayley's." I say seeing her smile at me from the corner of my eye.

"Ok love, we'll meet at our fav spot on boulevard at 12:00?" He asks which I nod to then reply a "yep".

Everything will be ok.

Forever is a promise rubes.
