[Daun's POV]

Is this what it feels like to be left out by your eldest sibling?

Alone?

Miserable?

Rejected?

Uncared-for?

After all you've been through in the past?

I don't get why people need to change...

They were already perfect for what they are and who they are...

Is it really necessary for them to change?

....is it?

Just a simple act could already trigger me...

Like what my big brother did...

Forget.

What happened to the promise we made, big brother Petir?

Since I was bored, I was on my room, alone, looking through the window in silence.

You can probably guess where my big brother is, right?

Yeah, he's with his friends right now...

Hanging out with each other....

Without me...

Our parents were both working today...

While I'm just here, doing things I'm not really interested at...

The thing I was actually interested at was, spending my whole time with my family. Mostly, my big brother...

We did everything together...

Playing with my stuffed toy animals, laughing at hilarious things, listening to our kind of music, singing the lyrics of the song which is not actually in the right tune, trying different things together, watching the sunrise and the sunset together, giving me a piggyback ride...

I missed it.

All of it.

I really did.

But then...

I lost interest in it.

I guess gazing silently outside of the window can be my hobby for now...

I deeply sighed as I rested my head on top of my arms that were crossed together, still staring at the blue sky and the puffy, white clouds that were slowly moving from above.

Not for long, I heard the door opened from downstairs.

[Petir's POV]

"So, let's chat again later on?" I said, grinning at my friends.

"Right! And, let's hang out again some other time?" Air asked, earning a nod from me and Cahaya.

"Okay then! Gotta go now guys, bye!" Cahaya said, as he bid his farewell to me and Air and went off shortly after.

Me and Air separated our ways too, also bidding our farewells to each other.

Few minutes later, I'd already reached home and opened the door, closing it gently after I entered the house.

I frowned as I noticed...

'It's so quiet here...' I thought.

I felt a bit irritated by the boring yet quiet atmosphere here in the house...

I know our parents were both working today...

Wait...

'Daun...'

I immediately went upstairs to check him up on his room.

I slowly and gently opened the door for his room and swung it a bit open.

Then I saw him...

On the window, doing nothing but quietly gazing outside.

This is what I somehow noticed from my little brother...

He's so...quiet.

And...lonely...

Did something happened though?

Concerned, I swung the door wide for me to enter his room and silently approached my little brother.

"Hey, Daun." I greeted while curving a small smile.

For the first time, I received no response from him.

He didn't even looked at me...

'Something's definitely wrong...' I thought.

"Daun? What's wrong, bud?" I calmly asked as I placed a hand on his shoulder.

After a few seconds, he turned to me, with his head lowered and his eyes looking dull.

Then, it made me worried.

"Daun, please..." I begged. "Talk to me."

All of the sudden, I heard faint sobs and whimpers coming from my little brother.

"Are you happy now?" My little brother asked between his sobs.

I looked at him confused. Happy? What does he mean?

"With what you have...?" He added as tears started trickling down from his eyes. I became more confused.

"What do you mean, Daun?" I asked, frowning a bit.

"Are you happy...without me?"

Then I realized what he meant...

I was spending too much time with my friends rather than my little brother.

How stupid of me to even forget my little brother....

I looked at my little brother in guilt.

I have to make it up to him...

"I'm sorry, Daun." I apologized as I gently wrapped my arms around him for a warm hug. "I promise, I'll make it up to you..."

My little brother's sobs became cries as he buried his face on my chest, pouring all of his emotions out as I gently stroke his hair to soothe him.

"You promise...?" He mumbled.

I curved a small, sad smile. "I promise. And I promise not to break it anymore." I genuinely said.

After a few minutes, my leaf elemental little brother calmed down, making me feel a bit relieved by it.

"Say, why don't we hang out tomorrow? Just the two of us?" I cheerfully asked, winking at my little brother with my eyebrows wiggling playfully.

Finally, he smiled widely and laughed for a bit from my playfulness.

"Okay!" He excitedly replied, making me smile warmly.

I sighed happily.

Just stay bright and carefree, Daun. That's all I need...
