Child O'Child, sweet child of mine, A soul so pure, untouched By the world's cruel eyes.By the eyes that can see, (or think they can see) that an apple is ruined, without even bothering to peel.
By the eyes that can destroy, ruin and sadden, and just with a single look, can even make you cry.
By those eyes that can judge, your every single twitch, but yet are completely blind, to the problems that persist.
Child O'Child, peaceful child of mine, A heart so light, unburdened By those burdens that crush lives.Those burdens that are unfair, those burdens that some lack;
Even those burdens that everyone bears,
because of stupidity and man's axe.Don't forget these burdens my child, because some have and now they slack,
And so they allow the world to fall, again and again onto man's blind axe.
The axe we named "progress", that chops everything in its path.
Blind to the beauty of nature,
blind, like humans,
to what should be nurtured.
Child O'Child, oblivious child of mine, This cot is your world my dear, But soon you'll have to come to mine.My world that has me, and billions more just like me,
My world that has me, and millions more who are better than me.
My dear you will be,
one of 7 billion,But that doesn't mean,
that you can't
touch the hearts of millions.Child O'Child, oh child of mine, you've just arrived, And what I said may have changed your mind,
But don't worry my dear,
because you'll soon leave, but before you do, leave your mark
on others' hearts,In the form of Sweet memories.
