This is pointless.
Everything I have ever done was pointless.
And NME now knows I'm here.

My sword is lying down far behind me, very close to the reflective platform's edge, my opponent having just disarmed me.
"Any last words, pathetic impersonator?"
I try to recall anything that I would be able to hold onto at this point.
There is nothing, just like there never was any hope.
Everyone died on that war; my friends, my superiors, my family...
I'm the only survivor. The expected Warrior of the Stars never came. I've been hiding for centuries in this planet awaiting his arrival. His starship should have been directed here when NME delivered his first Demon Beasts.
But he never came.

"Just end it." I say as I prepare myself by closing my eyes for the next fatal strike.

Other than the sound of a sword being raised up, I can strangely hear a faint robotic voice coming from above us, but it does not matter when my ending is a few milliseconds away.

Go!

As I wonder if I've already reached the afterlife, I open my eyes, just to see the figure that was supposed to end me emit a very intense white glow.

They split in two orbs, one white, the other black. Then fly away in opposite directions.
Something tells me I should check out on the white orb. I put Galaxia back onto its sheath and start following it.

It guides me outside of the Mirror World whose exit is high above the sky. The white orb then starts flying down very fast that I can barely  keep up. It flies close to a river near Whispy Woods's territory where it ceases to emit its white glow.

As I wonder if I lost it, I notice a small white Star Warrior lying down on the grass, they seem to be unconscious.

I approach them and start inspecting closely. The most notable features are its white skin, cyan feet, dark blue eyes and the long scar on its left ey-
I pause as a wave of realization hits me.

Does this mean that this Star Warrior is... It can't be, they don't even possess the same color features and yet that scar reminds me so much of that mirror copy of mine.

Suddenly, the white Star Warrior jolts up awake and frantically checks their surroundings, until they notice me, my gloved hand ready to unsheathe Galaxia in case it turns out to be him.

They jump back, seemingly scared of my appearance.
"I assure you I won't hurt you, little one.", I say in the most reassuring voice I can.
This does not have any effect as they keep retreating back, evidently because of blind fear. But as they keep running away, they suddenly come very close to the river's currents.
"I won't hurt you, I promise." I say in the hope that it will calm them down a bit.

Unfortunately, they slip and fall in the river.
Without wasting any time, I spread my bat wings and fly at them before the currents take them away too far.

After a few seconds, I manage to catch their paw and bring them to the shore but they are unconscious again.

I suppose bringing back home someone related to one of your biggest nemesis is not the worst idea i have ever had.
