What happened to Fred on the Weasleys clock, JK Rowling has added this:
Authur found it lying on the floor when they got back to the Burro and he gave it to George. George attached it to a chain then wore it around his neck. And he held on to his brothers "hand" when things got particularly hard.
((Do you get it? on a clock, the pointers are called hands... So he held on to his brothers. ))
