Tips and Tricks with Customer Service

Everyonewants to be right, and everyone wants to be respected. Everyone wantsto be the exception to the rule, and here are a few tips on how tostand your ground as well as respect them and give them thesatisfaction that they need as a customer.

Know your own policies and laws that support them, as well as consumer legal rights and producer legal rights.

When you are on the phone, remember names, satisfy their needs, and remember to always tell them not to hesitate to call or come in to ask any questions they may have.

Also when you are on the phone, let them be the ones who hang up. For one, it's polite and just in case they have any other last minute questions or comments. It also lets them feel in charge of the situation, and that makes them more comfortable.

When you speak, remember to smile and speak at a decent speed, not too fast or too slow, giving them information that they will need while not making them wait for information or become confused when you say things 100,000,000 MPH. Speaking at a regular pace will help there to be less miscommunication and more understanding.

If people try to guilt you into giving them full refunds or discounts against policy, remember to keep things in a professional perspective. You can sympathize with them, but do not allow your ground to be shaken. No one is exempt to the rules, no matter what.

When children come into your work place, remember to be kind and friendly even if the kids are loud and disruptive. Children watch what other people do an emulate it. If you are kind and treat them well, they will do so also, if you are frustrated and abrupt, the same rule applies. Being a mother or father is a difficult job, and helping their kids and them feel welcome in your work setting will make them feel that this is a safe place and will let others know of this safe place to go. Thus, more business.

When you have extra time, clean up your work space. It makes your place look inviting. Do not put up inappropriate decorations of any sort anywhere in any of the work place or clothes that aren't appropriate for the work setting, including but not limited to; anything what-so-ever pornographic, culturally insensitive jokes, gore, swearing or vulgar language, sheer clothing, and suggestive symbols or images. Do not swear or use crude, vulgar language in front of customers. One, it does not look professional, and two it is disrespectful to others and those you work around.

Make a special effort to look your best at work. For girls, do not wear excessive makeup(if it makes you look like the Red Queen on Alice and Wonderland, don't do it) unless you work at a circus or are a movie star. Wear clothes that are clean and modest, cleavage not showing or at least very minimal. Jewelry can be worn, but must not pose anything inappropriate(see 7 for more details) including anything Satanic. We do not like to summon demons into work, we already have enough people who qualify to do their job. For men, do not wear muscle shirts unless you work at a gym, and if you have earrings please wear ones that do not have anything that display anything inappropriate(section 7 for more details). Personal hygiene! Please shower often and put deodorant and brush your teeth. Take care of yourself!
