"Let me get that for you." Suzumi said, bending down and grabbing the old woman's small luggage. The granny smiled gratefully."You're so kind Ishida-chan. I wish my grandson were just like you." She chuckled. Suzumi smiled, amused by the woman's words. The old lady had been more kind in truth. Being new to the area, there were not many who'd talk to strangers like her. Thankfully, the grandma had been her companion all through out the whole trip. Although She just met Suzu for the first time, she chatted with her nonstop, giving the girl some useful hints about the island.
"Wait here." Suzumi said. "I'll go hail you a taxi."
"Good luck at the Academy Ishida-chan." The granny smiled as she got into the car. "Have fun while you're still young. Study hard too."
"I will granny. Have a safe trip."
The woman nodded then proceeded to closing the door but then stopped half-way. "Oh and remember," her eyes twinkled mischievously. "Be careful around boys. They can either be gentle as puppies or viscious like wolves sometimes. keep your guard up."
Suzumi smiled. "Yes."
The lady smiled then closed the car door. Suzumi watched as the taxi drove off into the distance then disappeared. Sighing, she grabbed her own bag and started dragging it towards the nearest bus station.
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
If Suzumi said that she wasn't entirely impressed then she knew she was lying. The school buildings were clearly mediocre but the vast expanse of greenery and the layout of the Academy was definitely what took her breath away. In fact, the place was so big she could easily get lost. Literally.
Suzumi scanned her surroundings. Since it was a Sunday there were hardly any students roaming the school grounds. Tough luck for her.
From the corner of her eye, she noticed movement. Immediately she spotted a student.
"Excuse me," She called out. "Could you please tell me where the dormitories are?"
The guy looked at her. His eyes were beautiful, Suzumi thought. There weren't many people with torquoise-colored eyes afterall. He stopped and faced her, seeming to discard what he was about to do. Suzumi felt bad because he looked like he was in a rush. The boy's eyes landed on her suitcase and then widened in realization.
"You must be Ishida." He said. Suzumi nodded, confused. The boy pushed up his glasses and bowed slightly.
"I'm sorry. I was supposed to pick you up today but was delayed. I hope you didn't have any trouble coming here."
Suzumi shook her head. "No, uh, it's okay."
The glasses guy looked at her again. He really was handsome.
"My name is Seichiro Togi, sixth year student. Please follow me. I'll lead you to the dorms." And with that, he turned around and started walking. Suzumi shrugged to herself then followed. Since he was in a year above her, she'll have to start addressing him as senior. Fine with her. She couldn't imagine such a serious person being in her year anyways, much less in the one below it.
She followed Seichiro around, listening intently to what he said. The guy was good. He was really helpful in pointing out places like the cafeteria and such. It was almost like he was doing it automatically. He didn't joke or make the atmosphere light like what most tour guides do. Suzumi could see he wasn't that kind of person. Only efficiency and the audacity to get the job done were qualities his type prioritized. How sad. And she was waiting for him to make a joke too.
"Here are the dormitories." He gestured towards a gray building. The two went inside. Suzumi marvelled at the fact that she'd be staying here.
"This is the lounge." Seichiro said. "Please wait here while I go get the dorm manager. She'll help you get settled in."
Suzumi nodded. She was too preoccupied with her surroundings. The place was huge. The lounge was a place fit for hangouts. There were two flat screen TVs that were cornered by a bunch of leather couches on each side of the floor. Suzumi spotted several vending machines in the far back and a few coffee tables near the TVs. Before she could continue her observation, she felt something behind her. Immediately, she sidestepped and watched as something barreled right past her. Correction, someone. Suzumi winced as she heard a crash. She quickly turned to find a knocked-out girl near the leather couches.
"Are you alright?!" Suzumi asked, more in awe than worry. The girl slowly sat up and moaned in reply, rubbing her forehead.
"That huuuurt!" She exhaled loudly, still rubbing her head.
"Need a hand?" Suzumi offered. The girl was happy to comply.
"I am so sorry 'bout that he he~" the girl giggled, giving her a lopsided grin.
"Uh, it's fine. Are you sure you're alright though? That was a pretty hard hit. "
"Oh it's alright he he~" the girl smiled. Suzumi gave her a do over but then agreed that she was alright.
"OK that's good then." She nodded.
The girl rubbed her eyes then stared at Suzumi."I've never seen you before. Who are you exactly?"
"I'm Suzumi Ishida, a transfer student. "
The girl's eyes widened. "Oh so you're the new student!" She laughed. "Finally nice to meet you. I'm Yuki Kanade! Your dorm manager."
Suzumi smiled as they shook hands.
"Oh look! It's Sei. SEI!!! Over here. " Yuki called out, waving someone over. Suzumi turned around and saw Seichiro walking towards them. His expression was still the same, that is, he still looked calm and indiferrent.
"Look Sei! I found the new transfer student." Yuki beamed proudly.
"I'm well aware of that." His eyes slid over to Suzumi. "I see you've already met your dorm manager."
Suzumi nodded. "Yes.""Well then, you'll be in her care. Kanade, I entrust Ishida-san to you."
"Okie dokie!" Yuki saluted, putting her tongue out.
"Thank you, Togi-senpai." Suzumi said.
Seichiro smiled. It was an awkward one because he didn't really smile. He more or less just stretched his lips into a thin line.
"If you have any problems, don't be afraid to approach me or any other student council members. Our doors are always open."
Suzumi smiled genuinely, unlike him. "Thanks for the offer."
Seichiro bowed then took his leave. The moment he was gone, Suzumi was instantly dragged by Yuki up the stairs.
"Oh the other girls will so love this. " she squealed and Suzumi realized that it was going to be a really long night.

"So? How did it go?" Iori asked a little too excited.
Seichiro slid a folder to him. "Ishida-san seems fine. I don't think there'll be any trouble from her. She doesn't seem to pose a threat for the moment. "
"For the moment indeed Sei." Iori chuckled then opened the file. "Ooh, she's pretty."
Seichiro refrained himself from rolling his eyes. Give it to him for wanting to kill a person to suddenly complimenting them.
"Should I continue my task then, Iori?" He asked.
The blonde smiled, showing his true nature. "Yes Sei, keep her under close watch. I'm curious about her. "
"I did tell you she's harmless." Sei sighed.
"Oh but it's the innocent that are very interesting don't you think?"
"As you say Iori."
Iori gave his servant a toothy grin. "Rest for the night Sei. I'll need your full strength tomorrow."
