Chapter 9

I woke up and saw that everyone was already awake and eating. I just sighed. I sucked in a big breath of fresh air and ate it. My energy went up and I got up. Me and Jax always got up at the same time. No matter what. I walked out of the cave and went back to the top of the mountain. I sat down and I enjoyed the breeze. I just relaxed a little and pet Jax. "Hey Harper. I need to take to you." I turned my head and I saw Laxus. "What the hell do you want bolt boy?" He just faked gasped in shock. "Bolt boy, is that the best you can come up with." I just smiled. "But anyway. You know that I have liked you from the beginning. I mean from the first day I saw you. You just made me feel happy and I hadn't felt that in years." I was shocked by his words. "So you really feel that way. Now you admit your feelings. Well I don't know how I feel. But when I do know I will tell you. Right now I have to train so bye." I got up and was walking by him and he grabbed my arm. He turned me around and made me face him. "Can I have your answer now? I don't know what I will do if you say no." "I...um...uh I got to go." I backed up and my foot slipped off the cliff. I fell and Laxus yelled my name. The Thunder Legion yelled my name and I let the wind carry me. I flipped and I landed on Jax. Next week is gonna be hard and I will have to rely on Jax to help me through it. Jax landed on the ground and I hoped off. I wanted to go in a corner and cry. But I knew I had to stay strong. I went and grabbed my bag. It had the on thing in it that I made sure no one could take from me. I pulled out the bracelet that my mother gave me. It had my birth stone on it and my brother birth stone. It also had a wooden dragon on it. I went back outside and decided to train in hand to hand combat. "Freed can you help me train in hand to hand combat." He nodded his head yes. I stood ready an we started fighting. He was fast but I was holding back on him. I kept dodging and throwing attacks back. I finally ended it and took out his legs and put him in an arm lock. He tapped out and walked away cursing under his breath. I decided to go to the town below and grab some food. I let the team know what I was doing and went to the town. I told Jax to stay behind. I went to the market and found some stuff for dinner. I was walking down an alley way because it was shorter. Someone grabbed me by my arm an made me drop my stuff. I spun around to use my magic but I couldn't. "So you are a wizard. I have magic as well but mine either nullifies yours or takes it away for a period of time. You are helpless without your magic." I punched him in the gut and he released me. "I'm not helpless. I know how to defend myself and kick your ass without my magic. Just then I got hit in the head and I passed out.
(Laxus's POV)
Harper went out for food but that was an hour ago. Bixlow was sitting by the edge of the cave and doing nothing. I walked up to him and he looked at me. "What are you doing Bixlow?" He ad a knife in one hand and was playing with it. "I'm sensing Harper's magical pow-." He stopped and stood up. "I can't sense her anymore. She's been drained of magical power and she is knocked out." The second I heard that I ran. The rest of the gang was following me and we got to the town. We started asking around and Evergreen came running at us. "There...is...a dark guild in this...town. They... kidnap girls and make them go through torture and then kill them." We started searching until we found the dark guild building. I wasn't the guild doors and I punched them. I walked in and saw everyone looking at us. Freed and Evergreen started attacking the members while me and Bixlow were searching rooms. I came to one room and opened the door. There were these three guys that surrounding someone on the floor.  I walked up to the guys. I punched them and knocked them out. I looked at the person and saw that it was Harper. She was beat up badly and was covered in her own blood. I unchained her and picked her up. "Laxus. I knew that you would be the one to save me." She croaked and then passed out. Her legs looked really messed up and I think she had a concussion. I walked out of the room and Bixlow ran to me. He saw Harper and yelled at Ever and Freed. They cleared the way and we ran out of the guild. I ran her to a hospital and they treated her. We all sat in the waiting room. A nurse came out. "You guys are here for Harper." We all nodded our heads. "She is ok. She suffered a couple broken ribs. On her left side she had many shattered ribs and her left leg has a shattered knee cap. She also has a mild concussion. But her biggest issue is that she had previous injuries that never fully healed. You can go visit her if you want." I walked in the room and she was in the bed. She was wrapped in bandages and was black and blue. I wanted to take away all the pain she had. Past and present. I sat there for awhile and Bix fell asleep in the chair beside her. I was so worried about her. I had my hand in hers. Was it my imagination or did she actually squeeze my hand. I looked at her and her eyes fluttered open. "Laxus. What happened?" "You came down to the village for food and then someone mugged you. You were drained of magic power and we found you at a dark guild. I picked you up and brought you here." She tried to sit up. I helped her up. I wished that I could take her place
