they continued talking about dark clothing. cara expressed that it defined who she was. harry agreed she was a dark person but he didn't believe there wasn't a bit of positive in her.

"say one happy thing."

"one happy thing."

"jesus christ." harry pushed back his curls in frustration. cara hadn't really noticed his features until now. he had curly brown hair that she just wanted to ruffle. she had recognized how green his eyes were and how his pale skin made his lips look like he coated them with bright pink lipstick even though she was sure he hadn't. her eyes fell onto his jogging pants and then up to his seemingly comfy pullover.

"fine. i'm glad you stopped your run for me. it made me feel happy."

"you just looked lost."

"gee, thanks."

"that's not what i meant. i was worried because who comes out here randomly if they're not seeing a loved one?"

"who says i'm not seeing a loved one?"

"you just did."

"that's not necessarily true-"

"yes it is."

cara threw her hands up as if to give up and laid her back on the ground. the leaves crunched underneath her. it was almost the end of fall so that explained how cold and leafy it was.

she expected harry to come next to her but he stayed where he sat. "it's stressful to see someone so unhappy."

"save the stress and get over it. it's a normal thing. at least for me."

"life drags if you're unhappy."

"but who wants life to go at full speed?" cara was getting heated at this point. in fact, she rose up from laying down to face him properly.

she continued. "you experience everything you can and what's left after that? not much more because then all that's to come is death. cemeteries are where we're all destined to go because no matter what type of life you lived, good or bad, you end up in the same dirt as everyone else.

"to be completely frank, who gives a shit how fast or slow life goes? nothing changes anything because it basically goes at the same pace. it's your choice what you do to occupy your time and i chose to spend it moping around this damn cemetery because it's what i chose to do."

"well fuck," harry looked extremely taken back, "all i asked of you was to say one happy thing."
