I'm walking up the pathway to my parent's house where the baby shower is being held, with Mateo in the pram. I hear the music from outside and the loud laugh of Aunti, i open the door and engulfed into the party. I walk around trying to find a quiet spot for Mateo, so I just resort to my old room, where my stuff still hasn't been moved. I take Mateo out of his pram as he wakes up.
"CAMI!" I hear the white chick yell and i turn around a fake smile on my face and giving her the present after we hug.
"Hey just wanted to say congrats," I say and white chick smiles.
"Thanks so you much, your presence and Mateo are so welcomed into this humble home," She says going all weird, white hippy on me, and i smile just nodding.
"Hey, there you are," I hear Mario says and smile over at me and Mateo.
"Hey, Mateo!" Mario says and I scoff, as he takes Mateo out of my arms.
"I'm here to idiot," I say as Mario walks off with white chick and Mateo, and i was left in my old room, i sigh sitting down, trying to drain out the concern I have about Oscar, who was out doing rounds. I hear the door open and look up from my phone to see Dad who smiled own at me sitting down next to me and bringing me into a hug.
"Mi amor, how are you?" He asks and I sigh.
"Stressed about the kids, worried about Oscar and him at "work", I mean I'm getting married in two days, I can't take it," I say rubbing my temples and Papa chuckles.
"I know its stressful now but wait till they get older and Oscar can take care of himself, hes a big boy, but i dont mean don't worry just don't stress so much Cami, come on the party is outside of your room lets go see where your Mum is," Dad says and we walk out of my room and into the living area only for Dad to run into Jasmine who gave him a job and Ruby grabs my arm pushing me over towards Mum, who was drunk as a skunk.
"Well, now I know where you get your lightweight from," I smirk at Ruby who glares at me as I laugh, taking Mums arm.
"Take care of her!" Ruby yells as I drag Mum out of the house into the backyard, and see Mateo with Jamal and Monse. I turn around for a second and see Mum disappeared and my eyes go wide, Shit, shit, shit, shit.
"Ma!? Ma?" I yell, dear god where could she have gone, I search the whole house and walk back inside to see her looking drunker than she was before.
"I ate something! I ate the cake!" She says
"That means it's an adult time in the bouncy! Wepa!" Mum yells and I couldn't help but laugh at her, feeling bad after but it was hilarious. She runs off and Ruby looks over at me, and i raise my arms in surrender walking off before he got me to do something, in search for my babies.
"Mateo?" I yell and see him sitting with Abuelita in the kitchen decorating the cake and i stop and smile at the scene in front of me.
"Hey, guys what ya doing?" I ask, and they smile up at me.
"Decorating a cake for Uncle Marios baby aren't we Mateo," Abuela says smiling and I chuckle only for Mateo to run over to me and hug me.
"Mamma," He whispers into my leg and i pick him up, seeing he was getting tired.
"You're getting tired aren't you," I say brushing his hair away from his face and kiss the top of his forehead. I walk back to my old room getting the pram and all the supplies i brought just in case grabbing my bag and shoulder bag, placing Mateo in the pram and i walk out of the room. I try to find Mario and white chick, only to see them in the living room.
"Hey guys, we're going to go home, cause Mateo is getting really tired, so again congratulations!" I say hugging them both.
"Thank you so much for coming," white chick says and I give her a genuine smile back.
"It's all good," I say as I walk out of the house to the car, getting ready for some sleep that awaited me back home.
