My Princess

It's crazy how much of your heart
A hand a quarter the size of yours can hold
Also how much it can take when it goes

To that hand belongs a Princess

Just one smile from tiny teeth
That are only temporary
Can brighten your day beyond measure

To that smile belongs a Princess

One gaze from those beautiful blues
In which there is a bit of brown
Can see straight through to the roots of your soul

To those eyes belongs a Princess

Though only topical, tiny arms
Can touch your heart when they wrap around you
And make you feel proud to be there

To those tiny arms belongs a Princess

I don't see her as much as I used too
So the next times are harder than I'd like
The picture doesn't do her presence justice

I miss my Princess
