Carter couldn't help but smile when her last class before lunch's bell rang. Introducing herself to everyone was tiring. Dance had been particularly bad, she had been asked to show the class some sort of dance move before she was able to join the class.

She had gone with the splits and then hurried to her place. If her embarrassment then wasn't enough, the guy next to her kept staring her down.

Someone clearing their throat knocked her out of her thoughts. Her math teacher, Mr Harris was staring at her. She glanced around realising everyone else had left. Quickly she packed her stuff into her bag and escaped the room in a hurry.

Carter made her way to the cafeteria, stopping at her locker to drop her bag off for lunch. Walking into the cafeteria she lined up at the counter and ordered her lunch. Handing over her money she took the tray of slop and glanced around.

She had been about to go and sit at one of the empty tables when her tray was lifted from her hands and someone grabbed her arm. Her shock was quite evident, she hadn't exactly been expecting someone to grasp her arm and carry her tray. She looked at the two figures and a small smile lit up her features as she recognised them.

Jake and Derek, who else had she expected. The smile lasted for only a moment before she frowned clearing her throat. "Um, Jake, where are you taking me?"

He rolled his eyes and ignored her. Carter planted her foot down and pulled her arm away, crossing her arms over her chest. "I asked you a question, Fisher" she muttered defiantly.

She noted his sharp intake of breath but still didn't move. "Don't make me embarrass you Carter" he raised an eyebrow at her. She still remained firmly in place. Refusing to move from her spot.

Closing her eyes she still refused to move. No way was she going to let him make her the gossip hot spot. Without warning she was lifted from her vigil and swung over his shoulder.

"I warned you" he said with a careless shrug. She could already see the smirk on his face.

Opening her eyes she began to pound on his back with her fists. "Put me down you big lug of fatty fat" she would of kicked but she was kind of scared shitless of dying because of him dropping her. She could tell he was laughing because of the shaking in his shoulders.

"Fatty Fat?" She could hear the smile in his voice.

"Yes. Fatty fat" Carter stated finally giving up. Crossing her arms she stared at his back. Secretly planning his murder in her head. She had been coming up with the best way to remove him off the face of the planet when she was put down on a chair. Her trey was placed in front of her.

She stared at her tray for a minute when a foreign accent made it's way to her ears. "Hey, anybody in there?" He stated. For some reason she had expected something a little more formal.

Carter had completely forgotten about the question until someone poked her cheek. What grade were they in? Two? Her head flung up to shoot the boy a glare. He sort of shifted back uncomfortably under her glare. "Someone's on her period" he muttered barely audible but loud enough for her to hear.

A huff escaped her lips as she crossed her legs on the chair in which she was seated. Yea. It was weird but she couldn't help it. Fixing up her hair she glanced around to have pretty much the whole cafeteria's eyes on her.

Carter's heart sped up and she became slightly dizzy as she glanced over at Jake. He didn't seem like someone to rely on but he seemed to catch on. "Let's sit outside" he quickly said gathering his paper bag and her tray before gesturing to the other guys.
