I yawn and shake my head, just to look over at Casey's old bed , staring at it.
When i start to feel my eyes sting i quickly look away. Finding something to distract myself.
"Beeeeeepp"
I crack a smile , talk about saved by the bell .....well close enough.
"Good morning Evelyn , How are you feeling "
Ugh. groaning here we start again with '20 questions'
Nurce Lucy laughs "Hey It's not that bad"
"Just smile and wave dear ... Smile and wave." She grinns like she just made the best joke on earth
I just stick my tongue at her while i think she's not looking.
"HEY! I SAW THAT"
and with that we both bursts out laughing ....me wheezing of course.
Once we cooled down she cleared her throat .
"Hey " She suddently stopped , im guessing thinking about what she's about to say?
After a moment or two she said "I got good news and bad news Evelyn , Which one first"
Im a half full cup of girl, so i go for bad news ; so the good news can cheer me up.
"Bad news" I say without hesitation
She looked pained before masking it with a sad smile "Cassandra's bed will be used next week" . I blinked.
Then It hit me like a Magic School Bus.
Somebody is replacing her. Not even 2 weeks and their replacing her !
I could feel my cheeks heat up. With a shaky breath i let out the only thing i could say right now "W-" ...."w-what"
With that a Wave turned into a Hurricane. They where messing with a cut that was an understatement to the word fresh .
I let out a train of sobs . I shaked my head forcefully
"They c-can't " "Its t-too early" Over and over again . I didn't care if I souded like a broken record. Their decision seemed heartless , Cruel , Inhuman. I hated the world and society. Right now I just wanted to cry and cry till i can't.
With one last shaky breath I said "g-go " a mere whisper.
Lucy didn't hear me so she took a step forward "I SAID GO!"
With that Lucy flinched and nodded her head slowly , then walking out.
Im not gonna lie I feel bad for the old lady , she did nothing but told me what the other couldn't tell me ... The Truth.
With that I fell into a sleep slumber . silently tears slipping like a line of ants over and over nonstop.
.........I didn't give her a change to tell me the good news .... I guess half cup full didn't always mean better.......
