Chapter Twenty Five (Part1)- Extricated?!

The state game didn't last long. Yu Long immediately jumped off from XinYi's arms, and skipped steps to make at least a hand or two distance between him and the emperor.

He tried acting to adjust his clothes so as to avoid XinYi, whose eyes followed his each and every action.

That was when FeiMei yelled, "Watch Out."

That was enough to bring both back into their present situation.

A hooded man lunged from behind Yu Long, it was fast, so fast that before any of Long's reflexes could act, he was next to him.

Just as he was about to hit by the man, Yu Long was pulled, by XinYi, into his arms. But due to sudden wind movement, there was a sharp in the air, which scratched Yu Long's cheeks, leaving behind two hair like redlines, from which slowly the blood started oozing out.

XinYi touched the cheek only to a "ouch" from Long.

"So naive. Trying to face me head on, huh? Guts. I give you that. But the last thing you should have done is try to anger me. "

XinYi said while gritting his teeth. He flicked his fingers and slowly the dark flames started surrounding the man. It started climbing on to his body like a snake. The man tried to move his legs in all directions, stamping and jumping in order to blow out that fire, but failed.

The man used his Air based magic, but failed.

The flames crawled all the way to his body, and forcibly moved into his mouth and eyes. All the man could do was scream.

Dark magic: the Final Verdict.

A flame slowly started burning the man alive, all that was heard was his painful screeches and cries.

Yu Long was shocked at the site. He was scared of this man. The man who could do this to just anyone, how would his parents have survived the battle. He prayed that they weren't captured by this monster. Because that would only mean death. He hoped his parents had runaway and were in hiding. Unable to hear the agonizing screams, he closed his ears. XinYi enjoyed the scene with a playful smile on his face. This site was more traumatizing.

Is this a man or a monster? How could Rahu be so wrong about this man? He doesn't even have a heart or a soul.

Everyone watched the man burn in shock. The hooded man's companions were shit scared and almost peed in their pants. They didn't run. They wanted to stay low, not to attract the attention of the beast in the place.

After awhile, the screams stopped and the body fell down, the flames still burning all the remaining flesh in that corpse.

Everything turned quiet, all that was heard was burning of the flesh.

"Yu Long, was it? "

XinYi suddenly spoke breaking the silence.

Yu Long was scared enough to response. All that was going on in his head was a wish to run away and never come across this monster. Well, he did wish that Rahu was here because he could match the strength of this demon.

As Yu Long didn't respond, BaoLi and FeiMei got even more scared.

XinYi looked at Yu Long staring at the burning corpse. All he could see in his eyes was fear and disbelief.

The smile disappeared from his face. He didn't repeat his question this time.

He called him directly by his name. But with a louder tone.

"Yu Long. "

This caused Yu Long to jolt back into reality.

"Why are you here? "

"I-I am here for no reason. That being said, I am le-"

"Well, you faked your identity, lied to the officials and now my capital is under attack. Well, seeing all that do you just what your punishment can be... (now that I know that you are the second prince of the Yu Royal Family from Qinshen.) "

"I don't understand what you are saying. Why would I do something bad to you, Your Majesty"

XinYi put on a straight face as he pulled Yu Long closer.

"Well, you will have to be investigated and confronted regarding your presence in Qiying when such an attack took place. You might be the cause for all this. Don't worry the investigation will be personally done by me, cause I respect you and treat you as an equal statuesque man. "

"That's enough. " XinYi suddenly burst startling Yu Long and his men.

"Investigation starts now. Everyone who was in the enclosure to be interrogated, no one is exempted and make sure all the damage is repaired within two weeks. "

Yu Long noticed the dark red aura oozing out of XinYi when he gave this order.

Then he held Yu Long's wrist as he pulled him onto his carriage driven by a flamed horse.

"Leave my hand. I said leave... " Yu Long tried a lot to jerk XinYi's hand but the grip was too tight to easily get rid of it.

Everyone in that enclosure was brought to a field in front of the main palace. It was a vast area. All the participants who took part in this examination, all the audience and all the VIPs were brought to that field.

Everyone was to be investigated as per the emperor's orders.

The investigation was carried by the higher officials. All had to present their identification slate which was issued at the entrance. Even the soldiers had to provide their identification slate. Anyone who looked suspicious was immediately put in prison.

"YuLin, hold onto your slate."

"Yes."

On the side, the investigation of all the people in the enclosure was done individually by the men handpicked by the emperor.

As soon as their horse driven carriage reached the main Qiying palace, XinYi pulled Yu Long through giant gates and doors.

Yu Long struggled to get his hands free.

"Leave me, where are you taking me. If you don't leave, I will... "

XinYi jerked their hands, which made Yu Long to hit his back against the wall with a thud. He let out a small whimper.

XinYi immediately closed the door and left.

The walls of this room, was similar to that used to build prison cells.

Yu Long got up, and tried to analyse his room, but it was all too dark as there was no source of light or window there.

He rushed to the door saying, "let me out, please. "

He kept banging the door, crying and asking to open the door. But there was no one in that area of the palace. No guards, no eunuchs, no ministers, no emperor, no one.
