Athena woke up from a dreamless sleep early the next morning, looking over to the small clock stood on her bedside table she saw it was five thirty, and knew she wouldn't be able to fall back asleep so instead got up and walked into the small bathroom. Athena placed her wand on the edge of the sink, grabbed a clean towel and placed it over the radiator. She flicked on the hot water and stepped into the shower. The warm water caressed her skin and the hot steam filled her nostrils and sent her into a mode of relaxation. By the time the girl had got out, dried her hair, done a small amount of makeup and changed into her robes, other people in the dorm were beginning to stir.

"You're up early Thea." Elara mumbled groggily, running a hand through her matted hair.

"Couldn't sleep." Athena told her for what seemed like the millionth time since she had met Elara.

When Elara finally dragged herself out of bed and into her robes, the two girls started to make their way down to the great hall for breakfast. The food had already been made by the house elves by the time we arrived and was laid out on the table. Athena slipped onto the bench next to Elara and began to plate her food when Professor McGonagall trotted over and handed them their timetables. The girls thanked their head of house and Athena brought her eyes down to the parchment containing the lessons she would have to endure for the next year.

"Oh come on!" Elara cried from next to the blonde witch.

"What is it?" Athena questioned.

"Only I would get stuck with potions first on a Monday." She grumbled.

"I've got it as well." Moaned Athena.

"Yeah but first lesson on a Monday! That's just child abuse." She complained further.

"El we've got it with Ravenclaw. If things are going to go as bad as you think they are you can always get them to do it for you." Athena reasoned.

"Sometimes I wonder why the sorting hat didn't put you into Slytherin." Elara looked at Athena with a strange expression but the blonde witch just rolled her eyes and began to eat the toast she had placed onto her plate.

"Morning ladies." The two girls took their eyes away from their breakfast to be met with the ginger hair of the Weasley twins.

Elara grumbled her best greeting,
her foul mood clearly getting the best of her.

"Morning." Athena replied with a smile. "Did you two get your timetables?" She questioned.

"Yep, looking forward to potions first with Snape." Fred replied sarcastically.

Athena laughed as he sat down in the seat next to her with George on his other side. Soon after the four had finished their breakfast, they began to make their way down to the dungeons for their potions lesson, Fred cracking as many jokes as he could in the short time he had. The blonde girl couldn't help but laugh every time and wondered to herself why they hadn't ever hung out properly before. Was there even a particular reason for it? George smirked over at his twin brother, knowing that the only reason for him firing one joke after the other was so he could see Athena smile. He too had done this before, but never got quite the same reaction Fred was getting from Athena, but instead of feeling jealous like you would assume he would, he simply felt happy for his brother, for Fred's happiness was his happiness.

When they arrived down in the dungeons, Athena and Elara were deep in conversation, standing outside of the potions room. Their conversation was soon cut short however, as the pair spotted Ravenclaw Prefect Roger Davies making his was over to the pair who were stood near the front of the line.

"Hey Athena can I talk to you quick." The Ravenclaw asked, a bubble of confusion blowing up in the witch's mind. Roger had never spoken to her and she would never have expected him to.
