Chapter 10 - Adventure Time

"We're touring UK!" Matt screamed with excitement.

"And my beautiful girlfriend is coming with us!"

Alex seemed even happier when leaning his hands on my shoulders and kissing my cheek.

"Just for a week, Al. This 'beautiful girlfriend'" I made invisible quotation marks with my fingers in the air "is still a schoolgirl"

"And therefore I'm gonna miss her for... Three weeks?"

"Yep"

"But it'll be like living in hell, Marie"

Alex had just discovered that I wouldn't be able to join him for the whole UK tour. Penny talked to the doctor and she gave me a paper as if I'd be sick for a week. Some kind of dangerous contagious flu. Ough!

"Oh, c'mon! You'll forget me in a second! You'll have your friends, you'll play and party like an animal every night! You'll have fun!" I tried to convince Alex the time spent without me wouldn't be that bad.

"Nonsense! If you think that these things are..."

He started to get angry. I sliced him off by attacking his lips with mine. He pulled away immediately. This was completely unlikely for him.

"I think you don't realise how much I love you... I'm obsessed with you! Addicted to you! Why don't you just..."

He was obviously affected by my behavior. Maybe he really loved me as much as he claimed.

"Don't forget to look after them from time to time!" Penny laughed and kissed me goodbye. "And you, boys! Don't you dare not to take care of my little girl here or I'll kill you!"

"Stay calm, mom. Do you really think she won't be the center of attention all the time?!" Alex hugged his mother and waved goodye to David (his father) and Amy, who was on the cusp of crying.

"Bye, Marie!!! Have fuuuuun! " she greeted us as we left the house.

"Reeeeeady???" I asked before jumping in the van.

"Ready to roll!" Jamie answered taking a seat next to me.

The other guys joined us and we sat so cramped in the back of the car we could hardly breathe.

"I can't believe this is happening! I mean, 'Five minutes with Arctic Monkeys' was a thing but this is just... Insane!!! We're on tour for fuck's sake!!!" Matt was screaming like a little child..

"You're gonna be famous, my dears!" I threw my arms around Alex's and Jamie's necks, sitting between them.

Josh, the driver/guitar/ drums tech started the van and once with it, a new adventure for all of us.
