The twins get taken to a different room while everyone is asked to leave but Alexander. "How you doing hun?" he asks. "Ok, what time were they born?" I ask. "Allie was born at 3:05 am. and Richard was born a minute later at 3:06 am." he says. "You know she's gonna hold that minute against him their whole lives." I say. "Ya, probably." he says with a smile. "When can I see them?" I ask. "You can see Allie in a little bit, but something went wrong with Richard." he says looking down." What?!" I ask, tears already beginning ti flow from my eyes. "Alexander, we can lose him." I cry. "We wont, I promise." he says hugging me tight. "What's wrong with him?" I ask hoping its. It anything major. "Alexis, he has some rare cancer that some kids are born with, they are doing everything they can but they might not be able ti preform some of the surgery on him because he is newly born." he says. "Alexander, I don't want to lose him." I say crying even more. "I know, and I said we wouldn't. I told them to do whatever it takes to save him, no matter how much it costs." he says starting to cry also. "I'll go ask if we can see Allie." he says missing me on the head then getting up. "Can you sen Natalie and Joe in?" I ask. "Of course." he says leaving the room.

"Hey Alexis." Natalie and Joe say as they walk in. "Hey, did you hear about Richard?" I ask. "Yeah, we did." they say, their voices becoming full of hurt. "But its ok, he'll be fine." Natalie says trying to cheer me up. "I hope so." I say beginning to cry. They sit on either sides of me and hug we telling me everything will be alright, but even I know it won't.
