My eyes fluttered open as the light seeped into whichever room I was in. As I took in my surroundings, I remembered what had happened and questions began to flood my head. How long had I been unconscious? Where am I? Are Johnny and Minyoung okay? Did anyone get hurt because of me? Did I miss my own mother's funeral?
After calming myself down, I looked around the room, searching for any sign of life, after realising there wasn't I took in the atmosphere. The room was huge and painted white with gradient, floral wallpaper on the back wall. From the ceiling, hung an elegant chandelier reflecting the sun that entered the room. Space was utilised very well, paintings in the right place with the perfect amount of ornaments. On the side of the room was a balcony, where I could see the many gardens. There were all sorts of different flowers paired together, which seems strange, but I could stare at them all day. I suddenly felt hungry and was about to get up when I heard the door open, out of instinct; I laid back down and closed my eyes.
"Ahem, I know you're awake," the soothing voice spoke; in a friendly tone that was quite the opposite of Johnny's. I slowly rose and opened my eyes to see someone not much older than myself, dressed in white, and looking like he just fell from heaven. "Are you an angel? Am I dead?" I asked because if he is one, I could get used to this. "No," he replied to my disappointment, "my name is Doyoung. You lost consciousness when a gang by the name of EXO attacked you at the airport," I had no idea about this EXO gang. If NCT didn't know about the attack, I'm in trouble. The thought of anyone outside of this gang knowing about me, terrified me. "What about Johnny and Minyoung, are they okay?" I asked.
"Youngho is fine; he managed to get you to safety. However, Minyoung was shot in her right arm; fortunately, it was a flesh wound or things could've gotten a lot worse," he replied while looking down. I instantly shot up, "take me to her now!" Doyoung subtly pushed me down, "she's resting, I managed to get the bullet out, but she needs to heal. If you visit and panic her, it'll put her under a lot of stress." Tears rolled down my face at the thought of her getting hurt because of me. She didn't deserve to get shot.
"A-and what about my mother? Can I see her?" I asked.
"You're going to have to ask Taeyong about that," he said, before walking towards the door. "Wait!" I called out, making him stop in his tracks, "how were you able to get the bullet out? You look young." He turned around and with a smug face replied, "We're all young in this gang, and I'm training to be a doctor. I managed to skip a few grades, which is why I'm training at such a young age. Taeyong's at a meeting right now, so please try to rest, or if you're feeling hungry, there's food in the fridge. This place isn't like that small excuse of a house this gang started in, so don't get lost." He left the door open as if he wanted me to explore the place, and so I did.
I walked out of the large room, met with a wide corridor covered with marble flooring, pillars and security guards, stood in silence and heavily armed. There were few ornaments scattered everywhere and expensive paintings hanging from the walls. 'Wow,' I thought to myself, 'NCT has undergone some changes since the last time I was here dayum.' After half an hour of wandering, I came across an elevator covered in gold followed by revolving stairs that looked straight out of a castle. With all of this glam around the mansion, I was shocked it didn't look one bit tacky. I decided to take the scenic route and walk down the stairs, I was now on the bottom floor, and it was a lot easier to get around. The halls were much more extensive, and there weren't as many rooms, the gold vibe was replaced with something much more modern, which I preferred. It seemed like every floor had a different theme, which I didn't mind; it's unique, just like this gang. After twenty minutes of searching, I finally found the kitchen. It was much larger than my apartment back home and was the first room I came across that was occupied.
