Well, more like twenty years ago Belle married her beast in front of six thousand of their closest personal friends, even the Enchantress.
Big cake!
Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all of the Kingdoms and got himself elected King of the United States of Auradon.
He rounded up all the villains and the sidekicks-basically all the interesting people- and he booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a magical barrier to keep them there.
No magic. No wi-fi. No way out...or so we thought.
Hang on you're about to meet us but first this happened. . .

"We can do this." Nick told his fraternal twin as they both looked out to the Isle while they were getting their suits tailored.
"I know we can." Ben took a deep breath trying to fill himself with the same confidence his brother had but he couldn't help the nerves that tried to dig in. "Let's just hope they don't freak out."
Nick turns to his twin knowing their father well enough before sighing, "Ben, of course they're going to freak out, but we are doing this for the new generation."
"Yeah, I know." Ben smiled remembering their reasons and the one who began the talk of it alone. "Not only for them but. . ."
"For our best friend."
"You think she remembers us?" It became Nick's turn for all the worries and nerves to take over as the memories he shared with one of the most important people in his life began to rush through his mind. "Will she remember me?"
Ben turned to his brother hearing the sadness and the fear of being forgotten consuming him. He knew Nick needed him so Ben tried to bring his brother into an embrace, yet he was held back by their tailor who slapped his leg.
"Nick, it has been a long time but I'm sure she still remembers us." The Beast brothers looked at their tailor with utter confusion but dismissed him as Ben tried to assure Nick. "And if she doesn't we'll just create more memories with her. Maybe being around us will remind her."
Nick smiled at his brother very thankful of having him in his life.
"Thanks Ben. And you're right if she won't remember. . . what's the harm of creating new memories." Nick felt the confidence he once had rushing through him again determined to shine the positivity either way.
Ben was about to continue but the doors were pushed opened and their parents along with the Enchantress came in the room.
"How is it possible you both are going to be crowned kings next month? You're just babies!" King Beast exclaimed as the three of them walked up to the twins.
