chapter fifteen, epilogue

ONCE THE WAR was in full swing, Aria turned down playing professional Quidditch. No matter how much it hurt, she knew that there was more important things she had to do. Instead, she did magical tattoos to make money and was part of the Order.

Her and Marlene became engaged and Aria had never been happier. The Potter baby -- Harry -- made everything happier. Quinn herself had a child that was already showing magic. Little Rachel was a joy ( stubborn as hell but still a joy ).

Quinn kept every letter that Aria sent her. It was so rare that she saw her sister anymore, so she kept every part of her she could get. She didn't want to see Aria break down crying at her front porch so late at night that it was early in the morning.

"She's dead." Was the only thing Aria could say before her throat swelled up with emotion and she could no longer speak. Quinn's heart couldn't handle all the lose the war came with. She was too soft hearted to handle the killing and it killed her to hold her younger sister in her arms after the love of her life died.

The time after that was hell. Aria lived with revenge in her heart and wishing no more than to end Voldemort. That was only thing on her mind. Quinn did, however, once catch a name on the inside of Aria's wrist. Marlene.

Quinn,

It seems that the safest person the Potters could put their safety in was Peter Pettigrew. Makes sense, as Tom ( it was a new development of Aria's, to only call Voldemort Tom after learning of his true name. If he changed it, that means he hates it and so she would only call him that ) would never guess he would be their secret keeper. I think it should've been Sirius, as Peter is a coward and the information cannot be tortured out of someone, but they should be safe.

This may be my last letter. I'm going after the Lestranges with Remus Lupin. I just had to tell you, I love you, and I love Rachel.

Aria

The news of Aria's death came a week later. While the Lestranges were arrested, Aria did not come out alive.

A month after that came the news of James and Lily Potter's death.

It wasn't until Rachel was fourteen did Quinn again hear the name of Sirius Black and told her about everything he did to the Potters'. It was at that moment, did Quinn realize what happened and dug through the letters she hadn't read in years. Quinn was a stubborn woman and would not stop until Dumbledore himself would face her. Together, she and Remus Lupin cleared Sirius Black's name and freed him once and for all.

Quinn told Rachel all about her aunt, everything she could tell her. Remus and Sirius came around her home more often to just talk and more than often Aria would come up.

Aria won the battle with herself, but she wasn't there to see the war end.
