After brushing her hair to perfection, Lisa went downstairs with Jessica to join their friends, who were most likely waiting on them. The members of Blackpink House all wanted to go to the dance together, and Lisa knew that there were probably a few members who were now regretting that they had ever wanted such a thing. Jessica had been helping Lisa get ready, and the brunette finally felt satisfied with the way that her hair looked, even if it was just hanging loosely over her her shoulders. She hoped that her housemates were not too upset with her for probably being the last one to join them.
"Hey, guys," Jisoo greeted when the two of them entered the living room. "Are you finally ready to go?"
"Yes, but it appears that Chaeyoung is still getting dressed," Lisa noticed, not seeing her girlfriend anywhere in the room.
Jisoo groaned in annoyance. "Oh, I know. She and Jennie have been upstairs for ages. They're taking forever."
Lisa just chuckled, sharing an amused glance with Kai. Clearly, neither of them minded that their girlfriends were taking what was obviously a little too long for Jisoo's liking. Lisa was fine with waiting. She was honestly just excited that she was even getting to go to this dance with Chaeyoung at all.
As the brunette looked around the room, she noticed that she and Kai, and probably Jessica, seemed to be the only ones who were fine with waiting a bit longer before heading over to the dance. Krystal was chattering excitedly to Jessica, clearly more than ready to go, and Jisoo looked like she was about ready to storm out the door. Hanbin was trying to calm his girlfriend down a bit, but even he was looking antsy. It was at that moment that Lisa realized that Chaeyoung and Jennie weren't the only ones missing from the group downstairs.
"Where are Jackson and Bam Bam?" she asked. "Are they still getting ready as well?"
"No. They went to Twice because they wanted to pick up Dahyun and Mina and bring them here," Kai explained.
"Yeah. They left like half an hour ago," Jisoo complained. "They'll be back any minute now, and Chaeyoung and Jennie will never even know they were gone. You and Jessica almost didn't know either."
"Well, some of us actually want to look good for our dates," Lisa teased, and Jisoo stuck out her tongue, cracking a smile.
The girl was about to say something back when she was interrupted by the front door opening, and Dahyun and Mina wandered in with their boyfriends.
"I guess we get to stare longingly at the Cup now whenever we come to visit you," Mina teased.
"That's right." Bam Bam kissed her cheek. "And we're never giving it back."
"We'll see about that."
Lisa's eyes were drawn away from the conversation by Dahyun pulling her into a hug. She stiffened at first, but she soon relaxed and returned it, glad that it was not a tight one.
"Are you still doing alright, Lisa?" Dahyun asked when she pulled away.
"I'm doing great, actually," Lisa informed her. "I'm really excited to be going to the dance."
Dahyun smiled brightly. "I am, too. It's good to hear that you and Chaeyoung are back together again."
"It feels good to be back with her." Lisa eyed the ground. "I was stupid to ever think letting her go was a good idea in the first place."
"We all make mistakes, Lisa," Dahyun said, placing a gentle hand on the brunette's arm and drawing her eyes back up to her own. "What happened in the past doesn't matter anymore. It's all about what we do to fix it."
