I'm done using Wattpad.
During my 4+ years of using this awesome website, it's done nothing but crash and erase most of my precious work because autosave doesn't work half the time, including regular saving options. I went from over 7,000 words on a latest chapter back down to 4,000 because Wattpad acted up. I beat my record that I've been trying to achieve. And it's gone. Wattpad has done this before, but erased whole books and chapters along with it. And I'm done with having to wait an hour or log out and back in just to load up a chapter I'm writing because of "poor internet connection" when I live with good internet and a good computer. I can't write for agonizing hours only for all my work to be lost. So this is it until I find a new website I can use to publish my stories. Even publishing goes wrong sometimes.
If I come back, it'd probably be because it's the only thing I can write on until I find a website which accepts all my work, including scenes for more mature audiences. I'm super happy with my work. With writing, that I can't just throw it all away because of PG13 reasons on other websites. I want my work to be seen by amazing people who actually appreciate what I do. And yet I can't even do that without problems. And I refuse to resort to pencil/pen and paper because I write so much that I have a lot of edits to do.
Maybe this is just me being overly emotional because I lost a shit ton of work that I loved. Fine. But when it's been for years with no indication of it being fixed by now, I can't take it. So this is Tristan signing off.
