"hey, will," mike greeted with a sweet smile as the shorter boy walked up to him. "hi," will gave him a small awkward wave, smiling back.
max was unlucky enough to get partnered with devin. "so, we're partners," she said in her perky voice, smiling. "yeah," max was staring off in a different direction, her voice flat and her expression bored. "we should probably go to the library. get our books," she says. "okay," max replies.
"come on," devin grabs maxs hand and drags her down the hall and to the library- will and mike watching them, max not even noticing they were there- as the halls were somewhat crowded.
"doesnt devin have, like, a major crush on max?" mike asks, standing behind will once they had left. "she does?" will repeats, turning around.
school was finally out, and max looked around the halls- scanning for a.. paticular person.
brooklyn closed her locker, only to see max standing there behind it.
"oh, hi, max," she says, smiling the second she saw her.
"hey, loser," she replies, a faint smile on her lips. "wow, thats a new one," brooklyn says as the two start to walk down the hall together.
"what are you, uh, doing.. after school?" brooklyn asks, somewhat quietly.
"it is after school right now," max teases.
brooklyn scoffs.
"wanna go get icecream at scoops?" max knew that was what she was going to ask.
"yes." brooklyn quickly answers.
they exit the school, only for max to start walking in the wrong way.
"its this way, idiot," brooklyn grabs her hand. "oh, right, yeah. knew that," max replies. she definitely didnt know that.
