DEBORAH HAD SPENT a sleepless night worrying about Tommy. He never came home from London and she hadn't heard anything from anyone about where he was or if he was okay. She didn't leave the house the next day, waiting around for him to come home. When there was no sign of him, she stole the keys of the family car and drove to Polly's.

The older women was delighted to see brunette at her door later that evening. Michael had already told his mother of Deborah and Tommy's engagement and was she had been waiting to see the young women for herself. After congratulating Deborah and giving her a big hug, Polly guided them into the sitting room for a drink and food.

"I can't believe you had to ask him." Polly laughed, still in disbelief by the news. "I seems I raised you better!"

"He was going to ask soon." Deborah grinned, staring down at the ring. "He told me he's been carrying the ring around for a few weeks now."

"Either way, I'm glad you're finally getting married." Polly said, leaning back in her chair. "It's been a long time coming."

Deborah opened her mouth to reply, but the sound of banging at the front door caught her attention. "Were you expecting someone?" She asked the older women.

"No." Polly shook her head and the two of them walked out to the hall.

"Who is it mum?" Michael questioned, as he joined the two of them at the door.

Polly shrugged and finally opened the door. They were greeted by the sight of four coppers, who barged past the older women and grabbed both Michael and Deborah. They were dragged out of the house, their arms cuffed behind their backs. Polly screamed at the men to let Deborah and her son go, but her cries were ignored.

"Hello, Miss Rose." Campbell smirked, noticing Deborah's struggles. "Always a pleasure."

Deborah sneered at the older man. "Why are you arresting me?" She hissed.

"For the murder of Eamonn Duggen." Campbell revealed, an evil glint in his eyes.

"I didn't..." Deborah began to argue, before she remembered how she knew that name. It was the man Tommy had killed months ago, by orders of the Irish gang. "You bastard."

"Get her in." The ex-inspector ordered, ignoring the women's curses.

The copper threw Deborah into the back of the car and she fell in after Michael. The boy helped her sit up and the two of them went silent, glaring at the coppers outside the window.

"Don't say anything." Polly yelled at them, banging on the window. "Tommy will get you out."

Deborah teeth clenched at the mention of the man. She wasn't sure if he would get them out of this, especially if what she thought he was doing was true.
