AFTER A VERY EVENTFUL evening at the Bull Ring, hours of women cheering and praising one another, Deborah had finally returned home. It was a great day and for the first time in months, Deborah felt free and independent. After all that time spent recovering and restricted to her bed, the Bull Ring filled with the buzz of women fighting for their rights felt like paradise. Even little Veronica enjoyed the day out, delighted by all the women cooing at her and feeding her treats.

When Deborah pulled up to Arrow House, the first thing she noticed was the extravagant Bentley parked outside her home. The lights were still on in the house, despite the late hour. Deborah tried to assure herself that it was just Tommy waiting up for them, but the pang in her stomach said something else.

Deborah stepped out of the car and into the cold crisp night air, carefully wrapping a sleeping Veronica in her jacket. She approached the front door with caution, fearing what lay behind the the walls. It was a feeling she hadn't felt since that phone call she made to Tommy nearly three years ago. That dreaded time when he was spending his evenings with May Carleton. However, this time Deborah knew she wouldn't be able to handle what could happen.

Stepping into the warmth of the house, Deborah basked in the familiar scent of her home and the comfort she immediately felt. The hallway entrance was quiet and cleared of any staff, but loud noises echoed the walls. Deborah's ears perked at the sound of Tommy's yelling that came from the stairway.

Clutching Veronica closer to her chest, the young woman made her way down the vacant hallways and towards the source of noise. The yelling continued and this time Deborah heard another voice follow her husband's, a female voice. As she rounded the corner, Deborah's heart dropped to her feet and her face paled at the sight before her.

Standing on the staircase was a shirtless Tommy, dressed only in his briefs. An annoyed and frustrated look was clear on his face, as he glared down at the person below him. Tatiana Petrovna stood at the bottom of the stairs, dressed in her underwear and Tommy's large jacket. She pointed a familiar gun at the gangster, a devilish look in her eye. Neither of them were aware of the two new presences in the room.

Deborah, who had been dead silent as she took in the scene before her, was too shocked to notice Veronica beginning to stir in her arms. The sleepy toddler yawned quietly and lifted her head from her mother's shoulder and wiped her hazy eyes. She turned to her left and brightened up at the sight of her dad.

"Daddy!" Veronica exclaimed, unaware of the situation.

At the sound of his daughter's voice, Tommy's head snapped sideways, only to see his distraught wife and smiling daughter in the doorway. His breath caught in his throat, as he watched Deborah's wide, teary eyes glance between him and the Duchess. Cursing under his breath at himself and his stupidity, Tommy came back to his senses.
