Quinn grabbed her husbands hand and gently whispered something to him. He calmed down immediately. Sage watched the couple interact with one another. To say she was impressed was an understatement. Maddox had a temper as a child and would beat boys up for bullying him. He was small and skinny, but strong as a young boy.
Sage licked her lips to speak.
"You're just as handsome as your father. I can't believe how much you've grown over the years it seems like just yesterday I was changing your diapers. Now you have a wife, children, money. What exactly have you been doing while I've been deceased?" His mother, spoke those words with such ease, as they escaped her lips so effortlessly.
" Is this brown skin, beauty, your gorgeous wife. You always did love black beauties except that crazy one Yelena I think her name was. She was rather off that one. I'm curious as intelligent as you are Maddox why hadn't you figured out I wasn't dead? You know Silas hasn't changed much either. I see all my children have grown up and become successful. Im unsure of how the Styles and Denmore cartels have suddenly aligned."
This caused Maddox to scowl and turn towards his wife. " Qwynn what the fuck is she talking about?"
Qwynn looked at Sage unbothered.
"Your mother is my supplier well my brother's. I don't deal with that aspect of our family. I didn't know she was your mother though. Similar features but you told me your mother was dead so I didn't think to correlate the two of you. I don't keep anything from you Maddox. Don't get upset with me because she's not dead. Be mad at that bitch for lying to you and your sisters."
Qwynn wasted no time clarifying. She would never lie to her husband. He's done too much good and she not losing him to some bitch who abandoned her children.
Sage was still in love with their father Cleo. When he died something changed inside of her. She met him at 19 and she never let him go. He was the love and support of her life. Cleo made her into the Queen pin she is today. They built their empire together and she never moved on from him. She did become more sinister. She wasn't the same old loving mother, she was a cold hard killer.
