As soon as we made it to the hospital, doctors burst out is a hurry, they were all dressed in Navy blue.
"Anthony Bleu, 17 year old male, unconscious, has head trauma, stab wounds on his stomach and on the side of his thigh, has cuts all over his body." A paramedic quickly spoke.
"Jesus, who would do this... thank you Dr. Kim- Who's the girl? Is she bleeding?" The female doctor asked.
The lady who was with me sat me down on a bed, she held me closely as i saw them take my friend.
"That is Michelle bundle, she is completely fine, said she got a phone call from Anthony and she found him in a trail. She ripped her hoodie to try and stop his bleeding." Dr. Kim spoke again.
The other doctor checked his heart beat. I held my breath in. "He's still here. Come on. Get OR 3 ready! We need it ASAP before this kid bleeds to death! Hurry!"
The doctor turned to me. "Hello, Michelle. I'm Dr. Grey, you did a good job at trying to stop his bleeding."
"Is he going to be okay?" I asked quietly
"... We... don't know. But we are going to do everything we can to keep him alive."
"Please. Please keep him alive! Anthony!" I ran towards his gurney. "Anthony! Please stay alive. Please."
"Someone get her out of here!" A doctor said. Someone grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"Please don't leave me!" I yelled as they pushed him through the doors. He's gone... I don't know what will happen...
"Come one honey, I'm nurse Cassidy, let's get you something to eat while you wait... okay?" The paramedic pulled me slowly towards the bed again..
"Is this your phone? Someone's calling."I turned to Cassidy, she held my bloody phone in her hands, my mom was calling. She handed it to me and I answered. "Hello mami?"
"Michelle Salazar Oscar Gonzito!! Where the hell are you?! Why did you leave the house like that?! I've been calling you like crazy!" My mom yelled into the phone.
"I'm... at the hospital..."
"Hospital?! Why?! Is something wrong? Why are you there?!"
"My... my friend... I found his bleeding..."
I heard my mom gasp on the other side of the phone. I told her what happened while trying not to cry. She asked which hospital I was in and that she was coming to the hospital right away with fresh clothes.
As I finished my phone call, Cassidy had brought me food from the cafeteria. A cup of fruit, a turkey sandwich, and come soup.
"Eat up, you've had a stressful day..." she said gently as she sad besides me. "I'm going to stay with you until you leave, okay?"
I nodded as I put some fruit in my mouth. I started sobbing again... " He might... die.."
"Oh..." She held me closely. "Oh honey... its going to be alright... because... now this may make it worse but... if it does come to that, know that in another reality... he will be alive and well... and maybe, it will be in this reality too..."
"Where's my daughter?!" A women burst through the doors. "Where is she?!"
"Ma'am, you cant be-"
"MY DAUGHTER JUST SAW A FRIEND BLEEDING, TELL ME WHERE SHE-"
"Mom." I yelled. I sniffed and wiped tears away. She turned to and gasped. She ran to me, she held a bad of Im guessing clothes. She hugged me, not caring about the dried up blood on my shirt. "I'm sorry I left home..."
"No, it's okay. You left for a reason. It's okay." She opened up the bad and brought out another hoodie and sweatpants. "Is there a place you can shower? You have... it... on your hair and face.."
I nodded, she placed the clothes back in the bag, "Wheres dad? And the baby?"
"They are coming soon. I left and gave them a phone call to meet me here."
"Oh... okay.." I sniffed.
Cassidy took me to the showers and helped me. I saw blood going down the drain. She helped me dry and put on my clothes and slippers. My mom didn't bring me a new pair. I sat down on a bench as Cassidy places the bloody clothes in the bag.
"Thank you..." I said weakly. "Thank you..."
She smiled at me, and hugged me. It was a nice hug, a warm and full one.
She helped me up and brought me to the waiting room, there I saw my dad with the baby in his hands and right beside him...
"Mari..." I growled. I clenched my first.
She turned to me and smiled sadly, "Michelle... I-"
I ran up to her and punched her. She stumbled back and fell down, she looked up at me and placed a hand on her cheek. "What the hell?!"
"This is your fault! This is all your fault!" I screamed. I turned to my mom. "What is she doing here?! I don't want her here!"
"What are you talking about.." my mom said confused, she leaned down to Mari and helped her up.
"She's the reason why Anthony is dying!" I yelled. "She's the reason why my bestfriend is dying!"
Her eyes widened. "Anthony..? You're still friends with him even after-"
"YES! YES I AM! I didn't listen to you when you said to stop! I didn't cut him off! I couldn't because he's been there for me too many times for me to do that!"
She looked down at the floor, and mumbled something.
"Is it true?" My dad asked. "Mari, is it true?"
"Yes..." she said weakly...
"I'm getting the cops." He said.
I turned to him, my eyes widened, I looked at my sister her eyes were filled with tears. "Wait-"
"Michael-"
"No! She has to learn to pay the price!" He yelled. He talked to a police man.
My sister sat back on her chair and sobbed "Shit... shit!"
I didn't know what to feel. I was worried and glad, I felt guilty as well.
"Mija.... Lets go! Now!" My mom said, she pulled her arm. My sister yanked it.
"No! He's right... I have to... It's my fault that Michelle's bestfriend is dying. He's bleeding on on a table and it's because of me!" She sobbed
The police man walked up to us, "You're Mari?"
My sister nodded, "Come with me." He turned to my parents, "Since she's a minor, the most that will happen is that she will stay at a rehab hospital for nine months. You will be able to visit her."She turned his back to him, and he put her in hand cuffs, she turned head towards me and mouthed 'I'm sorry' as tears rolled down her face.
And she was taken away...
