"You wanna grab a bite?" She asked, covering herself with the sheets.
Simon looked at her and smiled, "Babe, you know I can't. I have to go home and finish my reports, then I have to help my mum with all the preparations since families are visiting for my graduation dinner."
"Oh."
"I'll try tomorrow, okay?" He said as he bent over and kissed her lips softly.
"Will you be able to accompany me to the castle tour tomorrow afternoon? I got two tickets." Quinn was hopeful. She'd rescheduled the tour twice already.
"Baby.."
"You'll try," she sighed, "I understand. You're busy. And it's my fault for coming unannounced."
"Thank you, for understanding. I'll make it up to you next time, okay?" He looked at his wristwatch that has seen better days. "I gotta go or I'll miss the train home. Night, babe." And with one final and very quick kiss, Simon left.
Quinn let out an oddly loud sigh this time, trying not to feel sorry for herself. She walked over to the mini bar in her hotel suite, opened the most expensive whiskey, and poured herself a glass.
'This is what you get for being so stupid.' She thought.
Was she stupid for flying out to a foreign land to meet the guy she's been crushing on for like a year now just to prove to him that it's more than a crush? YES
Was she stupid for still believing and hoping that she'd change this guy's feelings towards her? YES
Was she stupid for leaving everything behind for this guy? YES
Quinn shook her head to get the judgmental voice off her head. She doesn't need the negativity. What she needs is a new plan, and patience. A butt-load of patience for this man.
'One week. I'm giving your craziness one more week, Quinn. Make the most out of it' Quinn drank half of the bottle before resigning to bed.

"Shit!" was what she can all say when she arrived five minutes late to the train station where she's supposed to meet the local guide she booked for the private tour.
She specifically asked for a private tour since she hates crowds and tours getting delayed because of nonsense questions from other tourists.
If she hadn't drank half the bottle of that damned whiskey, she would've woken up early, without a killer hangover, and she would've made it on time.
Quinn looked around for any signs of someone who might also be looking for her.
She was expecting a female guide, around her early twenties, blonde, and as what was stated on the guide's profile "loves to dress in neon colors". But no one in that description fits the other people in the platform.
"Hi, are you Miss Quinn?" a guy with a thick Swiss-German accent asked from her right.
"Who's asking?"
"I'm Luca, your guide." He said with a toothy smile and offered a hand.
"What happened to Maddie?" she asked but shook the stranger's hand nonetheless.
"My sister had to finish some schoolwork so she sent me. Don't worry, she gave me all the instructions you sent via email." He looked over her shoulder as if looking for someone else.
"Is your companion going to be late as well?" He asked politely but with a hint of impatience.
"Oh, no! It's only me today."
"But you booked a couple's tour."
"Well Luca, I don't have the guy I'm supposed to be with today, and he has ditched me countless of times already, so either you take me to the tour and stop asking about him, or we forget about this day and go our separate ways!" Quinn fumed.
Luca surprisingly gave her an understanding smile and took her backpack. "Please follow me to our seats." He said and went inside the newly arrived train.
