Quinn kissed a sleeping Simon softly on the lips before tiptoeing out of his room. According to her phone, it's already five fifty in the morning, and in a few minutes the sun would rise causing for Simon's alarm to go off.

She didn't want to leave without saying goodbye, but a stubborn and fully awake Simon would only make it harder for her.

She gently closed the door to his room and slowly walked down the stairs, her shoes, and underwear (which she didn't have time to put on) in her hands. As she was opening the front door, someone from the dining area spoke.

"I hope you left Simon a note." Marco said from the dining area, sipping coffee.

Quinn silently yelped, but recovered. "Yes, I left him a note. I'm sorry I have to leave like this."

Marco nodded. "I understand." he stood up and took a coat from the coat hanger, "I mean, I'm not condoning your actions, but I understand why you have to do this. My brother is not in touch with his emotions and it has caused his past relationships to fail. I think leaving would be best for you, and I mean that in a nice way."

"How?"

"The more you wait around for him, the more you'll get frustrated and get hurt. And I think, it's high time for Simon to figure things out on his own, and realize your worth. " Marco offered her one of the coats. "You need a ride to your hotel?"

She nodded and whispered "Thank you."

***

The ride back to the hotel was quicker than what Quinn has expected. It was like one minute she was in Simon's arms, and then next, she's at the lobby of the hotel waiting for the elevator to take her up to her room.

Marco was also kind enough to respect her silent sobs. He even handed her a tissue and hugged her when they arrived at the hotel.

She was packing her stuff when her phone rang. She picked it up and looked at her caller ID, it was Simon calling.

With a heavy heart she cancelled the call, and that's when she noticed several messages from Simon.

Hey, where are you? It would've been nice waking up  next to you for the first time

Tears started to fall from her eyes. Yes, it would've been nice to wake him up with kisses. For the days they spent together, they never really had the chance to sleep and wake up next to each other. Simon was always busy and would only spend at least four hours with her in her hotel, making her feel like a kept woman.

She read all the messages he sent:

Seriously, babe, where the hell are you? I've been around the house and I can't find you.

Are you with Luca again?!! I swear to God, Quintana Rae, I'm going to forget that Luca and I are cousins if I ever find out you sneaked out to be with him.

I went to Luca's and he just woke up, he said he doesn't know where you are.

Why aren't you answering my calls???

Babe???

Everyone's already worried.

Müüsli, please answer my call.

Why the fuck are you ignoring me???

Quinn cried like a child while she deleted all of his messages. She wanted to go back to Simon and apologize for leaving without saying goodbye, but Marco was right. She should not wait around and settle for any mediocre emotions Simon has for her - hell, he even admitted he's not sure how he feels about her that one time she asked him, and told her to not get herself emotionally attached to him or develop strong emotions for him.
