Hi everyone!
I'm just here to tell you guys that I'm going to post a new story on Wattpad next week! It is called "The Paradise" and it's got nothing to do with Identity V, but maybe you guys want to have a look at it?
Here's just a slight glimpse of what the story will be like: )
The light was dim when she woke up, but she couldn't waste any second where she was. She blinked and stood up silently, pushing her soaked hair out of her face as she balanced herself on the grey dirt underneath her feet.
Then she ran.
All the way up the hill, all the way through the trees and undergrowth that surrounded her. Dark green leaves were shaking crazily in the now pouring rain, slicing through the swirling air around her and holding onto her while she raised her arms to cover her face and stumbled forward in the overlapped shadow they formed. The wind moaned like a wounded beast as she kept on running, her bare feet crushing the dead branches on the ground, the forest was crying...
Her vision blurred slightly as she went flying down the path on the hill, but soon she could see clearly again. The trees were growing taller and taller. The cries were getting louder and louder...
The sounds would've scared her a few days ago, but not now.
Now she had to ran.
All the way down the cold valley. The world was pitch black until the lightning struck up the sky, guiding her way through the waves of green, silver and grey. Following it was the thunder. Booming above her head as she kept moving forward with difficulty. Raindrops danced all around her, crushing with each other and weaving up a cold, giant spider web. Her breath hitched as she started to slow down, her lungs were on fire. She could smell the danger in the air as it became closer and closer.
All lives in the forest were on the move, just like the day when she first arrived.
Trees were growing all around me, so tall that they could reach the sky, casting a green and golden shadow on everything beneath their leaves and branches. Sunlight barely shine through the gaps above and danced like fairies on my skin and on the soft dirt underneath my feet. The forest was happy and alive with the voices of all kinds of animals calling from the distance and rivers racing through the gaps between the undergrowth, sending sparkling water drops into the air...
It will be the paradise that you're looking for.
But it's not. Grinding her teeth as she crawled carefully but quickly around the edge of the riverbed and into the bushes, hoping they would hide her trails. She could hear the foxes jumping and hurrying through the trees. She struggled to keep her eyes open in the now pouring rain, little red dots were moving distinctly on the horizon. They were way ahead of her. She smiled to herself, at least they could get away now.
It will be the paradise that you're looking for.
The bushes that gathered closely together before were almost gone, soon she will be out in the open. The most dangerous part of her journey. But once she passes it, She wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore.
It will be the paradise that you're looking for.
The sound of thunder made her jump. Battered and exhausted as she was, she still quickened her pace through the woods until she was out of breath. Trembling slightly in the rain, she heard them hurrying behind her across the grey valley, they were almost catching up. The ground beneath her shook and she stopped dead, tilting her head slightly as the shouting got closer and closer.
"Can you see it?"
"Yes! Right up ahead!"
"You know he would want the white o..."
"It is! The White One! Come on! I think it stopped..."
She took a deep breath as she hopped onto the cold, slippery stone in front of her. Just a few steps away was a cliff, standing tall, bold and inviolable in front of her like a giant, demanding her to turn back. On the other side of the cliff, the forest continued its way gracefully and endlessly down. Sucking the rocky path into its mouth, swallowing all the curves and edges down to its heart.
The path. That was where she needed to go. All it would take is one leap, then she would be saved. She tried a thousand times, yet had never succeeded...
But there was no turning back now.
"I saw it! I saw it!"
"Get the gun! Where did you put it? Hurry up!"
She opened her eyes wide, staring and remembering everything in front of her. The trees, the path, the cliff, the storm. Every single piece of leaf, every single bits of rock, every single line of crack, every single drop of rain.
Closing her eyes, she felt her muscles tensed up as she sat back slightly.
Then, without hesitation, she took the leap.
Click.
Time seemed to stop.
It will be the paradise th...
