A problem within

{Lucian's POV}

We've been traveling for who knows, how long. A day ago, we were perfectly fine in our own territory. Until we chased this rouge, through another territory. We got lost and are starting to head back. Anger fled through me about what my uncle was pestering me about.

A day ago..

"Lucian." his voice echoed through the room. The entire board looked at him. I match my eyes to his. "If you had found your mate by then, and had completed the pack by giving them their Luna, we wouldn't have a rouge problem right now." His words cutting through the shallow air. My jaw tightens. This again? He knows how that process goes. But now he's gonna lecture me about how many she-wolves I've slept with.

"Alpha Lucian, that is." I say in a stern voice and his jaw tightens.

"As your uncle, Alpha I believe you should stop fooling around and look for your mate." I slam my hand on the table. Making all the board members jump.

"Everyone out!" I yell in anger. Most comply with it and accept, but a few stay in the room. My beta, third and guards. I pace around the room annoyed with his pestering. I look up at them and they give me a blank face.

"Alpha Lucian." My beta Ross says. I calm myself down and urge him on to continue. "The Alpha Ball is coming up soon. They're asking if you will have a plus one."

"If I show up to the Alpha ball again without a mate, I for sure will be a laughing stock. Other packs will be after us. He's right I really need to find a mate..." a bit of worry is heard in my tone.

"Maybe you should just take the Alpha Female." Axel one of my main guards says in a joking manner.

"Hahaahaa...good one. She's not an real Alpha until another Alpha recognizes her as one." Ace says. I listen in to their conversation.

"True, but they say she's ruthless. Amazing in battle and that her pack has never been seen. Not even their base." Axel explains.

"Yeah, says she's been an Alpha since she was 10." Since she was 10? Why have I never head of her before?

Maybe it's because your always fooling around to know about this. Mako reminds me.

"Tell me more about her, boys." they seemed shocked that I was listening to them. "If you don't start, I'll make that an order." I say using my Alpha voice.

"Ah sorry, but that's all we know about her." Ace says.

"Aside from the fact that she's unmated..."

Present Time:

This territory is hers. We don't want to get caught trespassing. We continue on until, Axel and Ace stop in front of me. They are on guard, I mind-link them.

What is it? I ask.

We're surrounded. But there's a pup, in front of us, with a mother. Ace says.

Surely a trap. Axel explains.

I nod and look up. I tell the to continue to walk. We see the mother and the pup notices us. The mother turns to us and looks shocks. Her eyes scan over our party. She looks at me and then looks away. She can tell I'm an Alpha.

Her pup comes near us, before she can stop it. Ace charges for it, on guard. I jump in front to stop him when he get's pinned down. A large beautiful Reddish brown wolf, holds him down growling. He struggles against it's grip. It howls and a few other wolves come out. A white one with blue eyes. A light brown coated one, with black eyes. And two black ones.
