{Reah's POV}

I looked at him in shock, "What?" I say completely shocked.

"I don't think I stuttered, but if you must hear it again. I said-"

"No no I heard you...it's just-" He steps forward and I back away.

"I don't want to have to find out from your beta, about attacks. And what about when I leave to my territory? You also didn't reject me. I don't expect you to drop your position, but I do want a way to contact you." he explained.

I understand his reasonings but I don't know if he's ready for that. If I'm ready for that. "I can't." Is all I said before running off.

{Lucian's POV}

After she left, Ross notified me. Lucian we have to get back, to prepare for things.

Yes I know, just let me say goodbye to her.

Of course Alpha. I sigh and go back to the pack house. Finding her no where to be seen. I meet up with her beta Raine and tell her my regards to Reah.

"I'll send your wishes to her. It was lovely to have you stay, Alpha." She bows and I nod. I grabbed my stuff and then shifted carrying it in my mouth. When at the boarder, I turn back looking for any sign of her.

{Reah's POV}

I was at my parents grave. Why did you run? Cecil asks.

I just, you know why all the rouges are here. Why they continue to follow us. I can't say I don't care for him, but it's dangerous to be around me. I say to her.

But he's the person you let in on our secrets. The one you trust to protect you. Cecil lectures me. I whimper at that.

Reah? Raine mind-links me.

Yeah? I answered sniffing a bit.

Oh...your worrying over it again. Look Reah you can't worry about it. The way I see it, he really cares. And you won't lose him. She explains.

Reah he's leaving, gone. They just crossed the boarder. I was shocked at her words. I have your bag packed and ready, come on get home so you can chase after them.

Oh shut it hurry up and get over here. I smile at what she says. I rush to the pack house. She's holding the bag, "Go and surprise him." I nod and thank her before running off.

I jump in a mud puddle masking my sent so I can surprise him. I run quickly getting a mind link in the process.

I continue on, I cross over the boarder. I smell his sent, I slow down stocking them. I trail on the side of them and listen to their conversation.

"Woah you asked her that on the second day!" his beta ross screams.

Lucian says away, "Yeah but I don't know, I just want to protect her. She never rejected me, but I still feel hurt about it."

"Maybe she's scared." His guard wolf Ace says. "You know, I heard when we were with her pack at the party, she's had a rough past. Everytime she get's close to someone they die."
