Author's POV

Jungkook breathed slowly, trying his best to be calm as he performed his task with complete focus, not daring to committ any mistake.

The sight was painful to watch, but he tried his best to not tremble. He carefully placed the pluck out tiny piece of glass down on a small plastic bowl and went back for the others.

For the past one hour, he have been engaged in treating the unconscious girl's wounds. And he was doing it pretty skillfully, for he had prior experience in stuffs like these.

Yes, he had a hell of a time to find the first-aid kit in her apartment for he was not familiar with her place. When he finally found one, it was from a shelf of her bathroom, from where he kind of assumed how she got all these cuts and bleeds, for the entire washroom floor was painted with her bloody foot prints and scarlet spots. He saw a broken mirror hanging on the wall, it's other half shattered and spread all over the floor along with a black glass bottle that too was broken into bits, tips shining with her crimson blood.

The sight was so heart breaking that Jungkook took a moment to hold himself in the place. He blamed himself for arriving late again for her.

As soon as he found the first aid box, he was back on practice. He first wiped the skin of her right hand that was matted with dried layer of brown blood, with the help of cotton balls. The cut was not large, but deep enough. He gently bandaged her wound as if he was afraid that he might break her hand. When done with her hand, he travelled down to her feet, pierced by numerous glass splinters. And since then, he have been stuck there, for it took a hell of a time and focus to pull each of them out without waking her up.

The view was horrible to watch. And it ached him in ways than he expected it to be, for these were the same pair of hands, same pair of feet that he adored and admired for he reminsced the way they rhythemically moved along the beats as she danced, smooth and elegant, like fluid. The same pair of limbs that he had captured into his sketch book without her consent, wanting to imprint every bit of her perfection and beautiful flaws into the white sheets through the tips of his graphite pencil.

And now he felt like all her sketches that he have drawn untill now was torn and ripped away as he gazed into her weathered and weary form.

Keeping the ache apart, Jungkook focused on the current situation.

Jungkook gently broke the thin layer of skin over the splinter with a sterilized needle. He became extremely cautious as he lifted the tip of the splinter out so he can grab it with the tweezer and pull it out. He repeated this action again, untill he will make sure to remove every single one of them from her flesh.

Time ticked away.

Jia slowly squeezed her closed eyelids before fluttering them open but quickly shut them again as the stinging light stabbed her like invisible daggers. It took a moment for her to clear her vision from the clutches of darkness to the rays of light, for she felt like she was drown into the deepest pits of the abysses for the past amount of time which felt like an eternity to her. When she finally managed her vision with the glowing lights, she simply stared at the ceiling, blank and confused as she tried to recall what just happend with her a moment ago, but she couldn't come up with any.

Suddenly, her streams of recalling was interfered by a stinging feeling down in her foot.

"Ahh!" She flinched and pulled back her leg in a reflex as she gazed down at the bottom of the bed.
